Ok, so I exaggerated on Waino/Yadi.....but MO thinks he has been a really great Cardinal. M. Carpenter was borderline in the "legacy" category, but Mo put him there. I think he views Mikolas the same.woofy25 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 16:05 pmWhy? Didn't Mo approach Mikolas about a possible trade in the offseason, for which Mikolas said no? The Cardinals are not re-signing him, and there is zero chance Mo puts him in the same tier as Cardinals HOFers, especially Yadi. That's just not true on any level.Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 15:48 pmNo, I kind of think Mo thinks of Mikolas as some sort of fan favorite.woofy25 wrote: ↑30 Jun 2025 15:19 pmHe absolutely does not. You can't be serious, but I think you might be.Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 23:37 pmhugeCardfan wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 20:57 pmThat's just dumb criticism.JuanAgosto wrote: ↑29 Jun 2025 19:50 pm Im sure there will be multiple calls regarding Gray. A smart pobo/gm would flip the conversation to Fedde. But Mo is a putz, so he will do the dumbest possible thing.
Im just waiting for the major announcement of a 5 year Mikolas extension. That'd be a true Mo move.

No, its exactly something MO would do. Maybe not a 5 year extension, but I could see him reupping him. (Perhaps not now since he is leaving, but defintely if hw was still going to be here.) Mo thinks of Mikolas in the same vein as M. Carpenter, Waino, Molina. He wants him to be a legacy guy. Insane!
