The Manager can only do so much if the talent/performance isn’t there.
Having said that. After 4 years his negative impact on the team is far greater than the positive impact.
I’ve asked this before.
What positive quality does he bring to the team?
What negative quality does he bring? Are you comfortable with the talent he has to work with? Are you aware of how many games in a row they are playing in June?

Didn't he take the NL Central with a 93 win team when he had some talent?

Are they where you thought they'd be before the season started or have they outperformed your expectations?

I'm curious to see if you can answer these
LOL
You answered my questions with more questions.
Very typical.
Negative qualities you ask??:
Fine!
*His handling of pitchers blows!
*His insight during the game is pretty much nonexistent. I think he manages from a pregame “script” and freezes up in crunch time.
*His handling of players at critical times sucks!
Case in point the TO and Contreras fiascos!

Now.... please state his “positive qualities” for the record. He’s a mediocre clown and they can do better.
And BTW....GOOD managers like TLR maximize their talent. They don’t make excuses!

Watch T. Francona this weekend, he's a great Manager getting way more out of the Reds "meh" roster.
Agree

Oli does nothing but push buttons.
In general I think they would be better off with him sitting on the toilet during the game!
Half of CT could do what he does!

NL Central champ. Has the team performing better than most predicted/anticipated this year. He is getting wins with a team that has most of the starting lineup with 600 OPS

Again, is the teams current record where you thought it would be, heading into the year? I'm shocked that they are 5 games above 500...

20th in the league with ERA and 16th in WHIP. Shocked they are challenging for a wildcard, possibly NL Central

Interesting that I give data and you give "blows" and "sucks.". I bet you know a lot about both...

LMFAO
“Opinions vary”.....Dalton...the movie “Roadhouse”.
And you are a fine one to be calling out anyone as you are generally miserable and calling people names.
You hide behind a computer and exist on this forum solely because it is anonymous.
You are a lightweight!
Thus ends the lesson.

Pushing buttons is EXACTLY his job. Oli is not a decision maker. He is a decision IMPLEMENTER. As is Kevin Cash. As will be a hire by Chaim Bloom.

I really hate that what you said is absolutely true. I no longer care who the Cards manager is. Thanks a lot!
