If the Cards sell/trade pieces over the next 45 days and gut the BP, which I expect they'd do, I have a player that I think deserves a cup of coffee.....solely based off his lengthy minor league career with the Cards... Leonardo Taveras. Good fastball, middling other pitches....has done everything for the Org....even spending too many seasons in Peoria. He's spot started in Memphis several times while the entire Rotation went down with injury. Ruined his ERA this season, but he did it anyways.

He's been with the Org since 2017 ....give him a cup of coffee, if he sucks, then DFA him. He can Free Agent this offseason anyways.

I think it's the right thing to do.
