XFL Conference Championship Game

Re: XFL Conference Championship Game
Pretty simple tonight. They got beat in every aspect of the game and the coordinators got out game planned and never did in game adjustments close to working. Only thing left is Anthony's crying how he loves every player like his own son while he loses another vital game at home for the franchise.

I can’t explain it, but I had a hard time getting excited about the team this season. I was all in the past few years, but just couldn’t get into it this year. The league does a terrible job of garnering interest.

The crowd at the Dome tonight seemed pretty light for a playoff game so you are not the only one. Coupled with the many empty seats in BIrmingham, not a good look for the league. Can't imagine the tv ratings being much better.cardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 20:19 pm I can’t explain it, but I had a hard time getting excited about the team this season. What should the league do?cardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 20:19 pm I can’t explain it, but I had a hard time getting excited about the team this season. I was all in the past few years, but just couldn’t get into it this year. The league does a terrible job of garnering interest.

Hard to believe the coordinators were petrified. Zero adjustments. The offensive playbook is straight out of high school to adjust for the fact the quarterback is one dimensional.mizfan wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 20:07 pm Pretty simple tonight. It is a boring product to watch on tv when teams are playing in mostly empty stadiums. Would other cities work better? Orlando, OKC, Oakland, San Diego, Salt Lake City, Omaha, Portland, Des Moines, Louisville, Albuquerque?esp31 wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 20:32 pmWhat should the league do?cardinalsfever44 wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 20:19 pm I can’t explain it, but I had a hard time getting excited about the team this season. Re: XFL Conference Championship Game
If the city is an NFL city, there will be limited interest in minor-league springtime football.

Brecht is our version of Marty Schottenheimer
Gets ya to the playoffs but can't get you a championship.
This was his "best team ever" = same results.
Maybe it's time for a change....
And how does that work since there is no "team owner"...

level of play is hard to watch
Re: XFL Conference Championship Game
I just don't really see it ever working. Spring football is just a terrible time of year, and they obviously can't do it the same time as the NFL. It's getting nice outside so people are gonna do outdoors stuff after being stuck inside all winter. You have MLB/NBA/NHL all going on. Youth sports are in full swing with baseball and summer basketball. There's very little familiarity with any of the players outside of a few "stars". People just seem to rather do something else with their time and money, which I totally get.

Rumor is this might be it for the league, so the Ka-Kaw might never get to win one, or even make it to a championship game.

Football in Alabama in June and a day game at that? No thanks.todd-parker wrote: ↑08 Jun 2025 17:10 pmLooks like Michigan will punch their ticket to St. Louis. Attendance at that Birmingham game was rather....umm....sparse. League owners can't be too pleased with that showing.
