Great month
Sadly picked up one lousy game on the equally hot scrubbies
They're not scrubbies if they're on pace for 101 wins. Just like St. Louis isn't the Tards if they're 7 games above .500.
They've always been the scrubbies northsider and always will be.
Just as to you Chicagoans we'll always be the Tards even w/those 11 World Series flags flying high over Busch Stadium.
It's what makes the rivalry fun!
Yes we can boast when it comes to baseball. But hockey, basketball and football are a different conversation.
Chicago has some bragging rights.
Blah BDog
Gotta be fair.
But as for their hockey and football and basketball, they are rooted deeply in the past.
I think fans in Chicago are caught somewhere between a memory and a dream.
The last Cardinal's World Series win was 14 years ago. The Blackhawks have won two Stanley Cups and the Cubs have won a World Series since. So, pot... kettle?
The last Scrubbie World Series win prior to 2016 was 108 years (

) before 2016, meanwhile the Cardinals added 11 World Series titles to their NL best and second best in MLB resume during that time.
Again, the past. What have they done for you lately?

Not much. That’s why we went into a reset. Lower costs to buy, challenge the youth, and assessing performance.
This success early on is a mere by product of the plan.
As for pressure that’s all on you. You sit in drivers seat.

We’ll see where you’re at when you get past the cupcake schedule of the last 3 weeks, which ends on Thursday. Prior to this part of the schedule, you were on pace for 90 wins.
I think they’re good, but not 101 win good. It will be a close race. IMO
You're focusing on the next couple of weeks, but actually the Cubs are already past the hard part of their schedule. Overall, they have an easier schedule record-wise the rest of the way. No more games against the Dodgers or Padres. Have fun with that.
Oh I know they played a really tough part of the schedule already and now they’ve played the easy part. So now from here on out it’s not easy, maybe not hard, but not easy either. More than likely they are a 90-93 win team IMO I had them winning 89 games, finishing 1 game behind the Cardinals but silly me I didn’t realize that Carson Kelly would turn into Mike Piazza for the Cubs.
Also fwiw, according ESPN the Cardinals have had a tougher schedule so far than the Cubs and they have an easier remaining schedule according to this other site.
https://www.espn.com/mlb/stats/rpi/_/sort/sos
https://www.tankathon.com/mlb/remaining ... e_strength
The Cubs easy schedule the last 3 weeks has probably completely balanced out the tough schedule they had early on.

You do realize that 2016 (lucky) title is going on nine years ago and not exactly "lately", right?
I'll take my two World Series title (2004/2011) over your one in the the last 21 years.
Marathon not a sprint, last I looked Cards/Scrubs both had the same record in 2024 and we've yet to play head-to-head.
See ya' in a few weeks.

St Louis has the better river but only Chicago dyes theirs green for St. Patrick's Day.
