A rare compliment for The Marmot.
He handled Pages and Pozo beautifully today.

He pinched it for Pages at the right time today. That would be the extent of his mastery today. He should be starting Pozo much more though. Pozo probably is not the answer for the future, but given the current roster is the better choice of the two. There is no comparison to their hitting and their defense isn’t that different.
Pozo has been out hitting Pages for weeks. I have not understood why he is not getting about half the starts. I cannot see much difference between them defensively now. Pages has been dropping balls, missing some blocks, not throwing anyone out lately, plus what bat he had has gone completely cold. He could certainly use a few games off, and Pozo is hitting. Why would it hurt to start Pozo half the games for a stretch?rockondlouie wrote: ↑06 Jul 2025 08:56 am On an offensively challenged team The Poz should be getting a lot more starts.
While Pages does have the superior catchers ERA and is a better thrower, Pozo's offensive contribution could make up for that difference given Pages is a really weak hitter.bccardsfan wrote: ↑06 Jul 2025 09:01 amPozo has been out hitting Pages for weeks.
