90 percent of the fan base lives far from STL. Me- 800 miles. What are we supposed to do to show fan support in your estimation.
I thought you lived in Sikeston, dawg. If you live that far away, then disregard my post please.
Nope. About 800 to STL.
Never mind, then. It’s the local people in St. Louis I don’t get who are so filled with hate they refuse to support a hard working winning team.
I'm not filled with hate, watching them in person just isn't worth the cost and hassle of going to the game and the traffic afterward

Move to downtown St. Louis, go to all the games, party at ballpark village, have tons of fun rooting for the club with other like minded people in baseball heaven and be loyal to what provides it. Some of us who have are living the best way any baseball fan can.

The least you can probably do is not bash on the club
“Loyal to what provides it?”

DO NOT QUESTION DEAR LEADER!!!
Don't try to frame that as some kind of a cult thing. That's ridiculous! The Cardinals support the community and their fans just as much (if not more) than they get in return. Busch Stadium and the surrounding facilities is my favorite place on earth and I have been to just about all the places worth going to. Nothing wrong with tipping the cap to the people who built it and run it. THEY DO IT FOR US! The least we can do is appreciate it, support it and be loyal to the folks that provide it.

It's one of the big problems with society, you spoiled rotten entitled brats are never happy and too cool to acknowledge anything, even when it is what you want and ask for. Don't do that, say thanks and have fun, try to get along and support the community. You're completely illogical.
This is absolutely absurd. The Cardinals are a BUSINESS, plain and simple. You think they built your favorite place on Earth because they're nice guys who want to do something good for the community? I'm weakened by how silly that is. They built it with money the fans paid them, thanks primarily to a winning, championship-level team. It was an agreement between the organization and the fanbase: you (fans) give us (team) three million in attendance, we (team) will do everything we can to win.

One side kept up its end of the bargain. The other didn't.

Uh, No, they do it for a profit. They do not care about you, they care about what's in your wallet
I'm not buying that for a second. Even if what you state is true, my wallet is kind of open. Bring me good MLB baseball, happy juice served by pretty dancing girls in shorts at the club, yummy food and high energy bands to dance to, that's worth a few hundred a week to me. No joke, I have been to Saturday afternoon games and spent less than $20 got a free bobblehead, stayed after to watch amatuer game and the free concert, made a whole day out of it for less than $20. What else can you do on a Friday night that gives you a free promo item, has $5 beers, and a world class athletic show for less than $100? If you are a local you can get one of those Budweiser passes and go to all the games for $50 a MONTH and still get free giveaways. Cards Baseball is the best value around. But don't be cheap.

I've studied and been to all the MLB stadiums and cities, St. Louis is the most affordable overall of them all to live near a ballpark. Downtown St. Louis is the best value sports neighborhood in the world. This isn’t LA, New York Boston or even Wrigleyville. We have the same thing at the best prices.

You should not leave your lemonade stand unattended. That would be completely illogical, Trike.
Come on, even you weak sauce Lil Trolls who try to be cute in spreading nonsense can do better. Normally I wouldn't respond to such bad trolling but yours is so bad it needs an "observation"! At least be funny or make one decent point. Aren't you worried the other haters will just point and laugh at you for lowering the bar in Haterville?

With every one of these juvenile posts, you make the case for a Kiddie Cards Talk forum. Just picture a forum where you can talk Cardinal baseball… and exchange lemonade stand trade secrets.

He did, but that run has been over for some time. You act like he "gave" it out of some sense of noblesse oblige; that it was a gift granted upon us poor Hoosiers by our better and as a result we owe him tribute and loyalty. It was a deal with equal exchange of value. That's no longer the case.

Great to hear.
I'd be very surprised not to see attendance figures on the uptrend this summer.
We weren't previously planning making it down (200 miles or so) this summer, but plans are always subject to change, and now we're thinking making the trip twice.

Yes, he did. Then he became content to just cash checks. Maybe started prioritizing his other investments?

Either way, let him earn his attendance. Let current year performance drive attendance and not preseason, season ticket sales. Makes for a more motivated owner.

100%. Once BPV got finished, the complacency set in. Team performance was a lagging indicator and continued for a year or two, but ultimately it caught up with them.

If he's such a great owner, he won't rest on 25-year-old laurels, but will be willing to make new ones. Earn our business, plain and simple.

HERE IT IS! THIS IS IT FOLKS! See how this elite snob likes to talk down to lemonade selling workers? I love the people that walk around the park selling lemonade, the people that work those stands around the ballpark serving drinks to fans at their stands and carts. Who the F are you to insult those hard working decent people doing an honest job, what makes them so much beneath your royal highness?

When you insult one of those workers and their boyfriend escalates it, they're the bad guys and are dangerous downtown people, right? Nah, your the trouble who probably gets away with it and wrecks things. Say thank you, leave a little extra and don't be such an arrogant jerk snob. YOU SUCK!

You dont care about the players feelings. You only care about how much money Dewitt is making. The fans have earned every right to hold onto their money and keep it away from the front office and they have earned every right to decide for themselves when to open their wallets again.
This is the second attendance thread in which Cranny pretends to GAS about the players.
He has been on the side of management in every previous thread that had management-player differences ever since I’ve been on this site.

You are absolutely correct, he’s still on management’s side.

+1,000,000 JFC ..this topic has been beaten to death...fans show the FRONT OFFICE that they are (upset) with their [shirt]ty attitude over the last few years...players have to play, regardless how many people show up...I'm in Section 148 and people are sick of front Office (donkey) kissers wanting to make sure DeTwit and Mo-ran get their money...waiting for Tanker the Wanker, a sock, to chime in!
I thought the dislike for the front office was because the direction they were going was creating a (bleep) product on the field. Well that currently doesn't seem to be a problem so what's the beef? Now that the team seems to be moving in a positive direction we are going to not attend because of the past. We have had one losing season in the last 17 seasons and we made a 12 victory jump after that season and we seem to be on pace to improve on 2024 this year.
So go to games as often as you like!

That is certainly your prerogative.

I laud good moves the Cards make, and pan moves I don’t care for, Bomber. Always have, always will.
That’s a long way from “being on management’s side.” Just an objective look at the pluses and minuses.
