Kudos to Arenado hes a team player. I thought oli was maybe getting smarter but apparently hes just as dumb as always. Even Arenado is a better manager than oli
Listened to Jim Hays on telecast. Nado moving down was NOT portrayed as newspaper article said.
Hays quote was:
Oli said he wants to give him (Arenado) a breather.
Arenado said. ‘He gets it.. he understands. Guys hitting behind me should move up.

So according to Jimmy thr Cat it was OLI who gets the credit .
At no time did Hays mention that Oli said Arenanafi came to him asking yo be moved down.

So someone put a false spin on the story.
When Hays said. Nado said. He gets it..he understands.
We know who imitated the move…. And it sure wasn’t Nado
The decision was not made impulsively. Rarely do vets move without discussions.
Those discussions likely were touched on weeks ago. That could have contributed to
his recent production. He's emotional, and it affects his production. Last 28 days OPS .557.
Last 7 OPS .226.

There's a substantial reason to believe in what you are presenting.
Oli haters got to hate, Oli has improved each season, becoming an average manager.

To the opinion that he is hurting his trade value by moving down, his production does that.
On any team he would have gone to he was not going to hit #4.

Team was surely hoping he'd jump out of the gate hot at the plate that would have made it easier to try and work a trade but it hasn't happened. He'll be fine going forward as a 6 or 7 hole guy with a great glove and I think that's what we will be stuck with.
How he is playing closer to the trade deadline matters more than a hot start IMO.

Going forward, without a lock on the #4 spot, does it make it easier to
platoon him more often at 3B with Gorman?
