The Leafs as constructed are not a Berube type team at all. They can't separate the Panthers from the puck and don't play physical at all. That won't cut it against a team like Florida. Total domination and lackluster effort by the Loafs.

But it doesn't seem to matter with the Leafs who the coach is, who the goalie is, who the other players are, they just stink it up in the playoffs.

Does anyone think Shanahan is out if they lose this series after being up 2-0, which was somewhat of a miracle in itself?

Right now the Leafs are somewhere between heartless chokers and a proud team that tightens their laces and plays up to their pedigree. I'm leaning to the former.

It won't matter much longer. They need to blow this up. Actually, it's probably going to get blown up in UFA. They've massively overpaid players and it's about to come down on them hard. They've hung on to players they should have traded. I mean, Marner and Nylander should be making Thomas and Kyrou money. Taveras should be paid by some other team. That's where the rest of the team they really should have is, in the back pocket of their top-4. Dumb.

That's only because management didn't know how to manage their assets. One of the big three on offense (Marner) should've been traded for a defender before they even signed Tavares, They thought they were gonna win playoff games 7-6. What a stupid strategy.

Edmonton have had the same problem for years. They might get round it by having McJesus and Drai, but thats a might.
