so chicago doesnt make it again.... sounds great. CHI sucks a duck
Yep the Black Hawks suck duck.
But they did build the best team in the league that won some championships. And looks to be on that similar path.
Army brought in his friends, and other groups of veteran contractors and wamo 10-15 yrs later, built a group of (upset) off bubble vets that no one expected to win four.
No one expected it. No one expected them to do it again. And they didn't. They went back to the grind.

Which is what this thread is about.

Army has done almost the very same thing, outside of two drafts during the "it's a new league" period. And two offer sheets during the "hiring of a Edmonton brass", period.
Both were lead by another. Both are over. And we are back to third line vets, [shirt]ty return on trades, Same good in the corners prospects, same crowd the net, hope for garbage goal offense, Same dog house for players of skill. Same prompting up of his guys. Same Ole Sell.
LOL army won a cup and now has built a team that will have an open window for years to come,.

LOL. Now we are contenders.
Bring in vet...check
Again pass on 2c because Schenn again thinks he is one. Check
Again trade off talent, he can't understand. Check

Iam guessing we will once again "spread out the scoring" with Sunny, Schenn, Faulk pp unit.

Army supporters forgetting that they were once again wrong about last year's team, claiming some magic window and some winner mentality, that helps Army keeps us hoping for the tippy top of the bubble.
we brought in 2 C's to hold the spot till dvorskys ready. Also stenberg could help down the road.

If holloway would have played we would have beat the presdients trophy team. I just love your doom and glooom lool

It's not like every off-season every team has the chance to turn their team into a Cup contender. Some years you can take big steps and other years you have to take little steps. It takes years and a lot of things have to happen at the right time. You gotta build a solid contender first and then you make a move or 2 to catapult you to the Cup. There was nobody on the market who could singlehandedly make them a contender this year. I think the Blues improved a little bit with what they had to work with. The Blues got a year or 3 before they are going to have to worry about anything Cup related.

Who's beating the Panthers?

I wouldn't mind if the Blues and Hawks got good together.
I like that rivalry. I agree we are going to have to wait for the Panthers to age out. They got an edge that nobody is even close to matching at this moment in time. Maybe without Bobrovsky that changes.

Detroit can suck donkey.

Foregoing tradition for Eastern travel and time zone.

I'm over them.....the East can have that franchise of great principle. It's been great for them hasn't it?

This thread smells like smelly jr. Two peas in a pod that can't see past their big toe.

Geez..... are you ok?
I agree with you I hate the Red Wings too! I don't want them back.
I would just prefer the big games I look forward to were at a normal time at night. I hate staying up till almost midnight then trying to sleep after a big game. I like the close to home rivalry's.
