Both show signs of years of big league talent and presently , cost controlled talent. If you were to move either of them tomorrow who would you want in return?

Its hard to say what exactly their value is. But this team has a serious lack of top end talent and I don't think anyone on this team should be untradeable. We're a few years away from being a serious contender.

Not if they offload Arenado then take payroll back up to 180-200 million for 2026.

No chance payroll is going up that high next season.

Why? With all due respect, why are you not high on Scott? I see a 24 year-old kid who plays a superb CF (a premium defensive position) ...a kid who has elite speed and base-stealing ability...a kid with a great attitude...and a kid who takes quality ABs.

I don't know...seems like the kinda guy everyone would want.

Mets come into STL for 3 game set and the winds of support will have a 51% chance of blowing different direction. Winn and Scott II as core is reasonable conversation at this point. Bloom as POBOy, the conversation takes on whole different tone.

Cards are tattooing the Reds, well except Gorman who is to this point 0 for the day. Burleson is free falling again. At least Walker has double and couple RBi's. Maybe Brown's work in going opposite field is starting to gain results. Gorman no for core player - trade. Burleson - no core player - trade. Walker - keep and see where he goes offensively.

He's now hitting .352 over his last 62 PA.

I would suggest zip unless packaged with player of value (Donovan, Noots, Helsley, etc). OF course there could always be the obscure player to be named later or the typical current FO action of future prospects who used yards of the mentioned medical tape.

Singularly Gorman and Burly may garnish used medical tape. Used pitching rubbers would place the transaction in the "wanted to much" category.

You have a guy like Herrera who can rake, he can’t throw to 2nd at C, and Pages seems to handle things behind home plate…..This is a no brainer. DH/LF. This team has to have the most stupid idiots ever employed by a MLB team. WC sucks his whole career at 2nd in order…..so bat him there a whole wasted month. Burly does absolutely nothing for you but he seems to be slotted all over the field and in RBI spots in the order every night……
