Too bad they couldn't see fit to at least nominate Walt for the Cards HOF and let the fans decide.
This era of Cards baseball can't end soon enough.
Well, get ready for Mo to be on the wall as soon as he retires.

R.I.P. Walt!
Mo should be NAILED to the wall. With fans throwing overripe tomatoes at him.

At the game when the tribute showed up on scoreboard. Had no clue Walt was having any issues. Bit stunned but when the announcer was making a statement I realized how quiet that stadium. At the end fans applauded. Granted it was short time to put together a tribute but it was so lacking. Just seemed dark. With his and teams accomplishments it should have been more of a celebration than stadium wake.

Ownership and FO could/should/ etc done a better job for his tribute based upon what he accomplished for Cardinal fans.

They didn’t do much for either Mike Shannon or Tim McCarver after they died. Didn’t even have an arm patch for either, as I recall. I’m starting to think DeWitt, Jr, has dementia or has just ceded all operations to DeWitt III who has already shown he’s clueless with respect to public relations and the franchise’s storied history.

I can not possibly explain how much this forum hated that guy when he was GM.

Can’t speak for the other denizens of Card Talk, but I liked Jocketty. He put some tremendous teams together from 1996-2011. (Yes, I know he was fired in 2007, but the 2011 team had his fingerprints all over it.)
