Pitchers preferring to throw to certain catchers is a real thing and managers generally follow those types of request, valueing outs over the possibility of offense.

Herrera should DH when this situation occurs.

Nobody is playing today. It rained or something in Boston.

With the double header now facing him tomorrow, Oli will now feel justified to sit Herrera for one of the games since he will have to split backstop duties between the 2 catchers. I would sure like to see Hererra DH the game he doesn’t catch but I doubt that occurs.

I hoped oli would have grown enough as a manager that he could have greater input in the lineup construction. Either it's still being made by Mo and the strategist, or oli is just a foolish pud. Benching your hottest bat makes no sense.

He has zero excuse for not using Herrera as DH when he's not catching. Burly worship has to stop.

FWIW I doubt anyone plays today. That being said, Oli and Oli ALONE makes the lineup card. Both he and Mo have said that repeatedly. Plus, Mo's a lame duck at this point. Doubt he holds a lot of sway.

This is what I've said all offseason is one of the Cardinals biggest detriments to winning the division: overcoming the Olifactor.

Pretty difficult to go on sustained winning streaks when you constantly sit your hottest hitters for a "maintenance day." The guy's an idiot. I'd love to give him the benefit of the doubt because Herrera may have an ailment, but Oli has admitted this as well over and over.

He's a (Ef'En) moron.
He is two midgets in one, mental and physical.
