I think Bison is a secondary piece in any big midseason (Helsley or Fedde?) deal if the Cards happen to fall out of NLC contention, or this offseason if they try again to deal NADO.

the batting stance reminds us instantly of Ozuna -- but his pitch recognition (from catching) and his trunk strength and incredibly quick hands remind me a bit of Pujols, not saying that is who he will become but it sure would be fun if he even remotely approached those type of numbers.

player with a higher floor and with the hope that he's replaced by a higher ceiling player.

My thoughts of AB are not highly optimistic. I've challenged those who have a higher regard of his upside
and attempted to do it without ridiculing the player. He, IMO, is a player that needs to show a lot more
XBH than he has to this point, and I have doubts of him doing that. His chase has to decrease.
That said he's no more 1 dimensional than Baker, Siani, Walker, Pages and just might be the teams better 1B.

The bats of 2024 did not perform ideally. Burleson at the very least with his OPS+ of 104, maybe his floor,
looks better than a few of those players. The hope is that they outproduce AB.

you might be confusing higher floor with higher ceiling ---- Herrera has a way higher ceiling at this point based on last year a week so far. Bison's floor seems to have been established but i doubt he ever really does much better than that hence he would have a lower ceiling. We have a few high ceiling guys we seem to be waiting on in Walker, Gorman and Nootbar ---- we need a couple of them to start blossoming.

Herrera came into this season with a .289/.365/.398 batting line in his MLB career. That .765 OPS is better than Burleson’s best OPS in a season in the majors.

Again, I don’t see how Burleson’s “floor” is “higher”. He’s a low floor player with a lower ceiling than a lot of guys we have.
