SRV1990 wrote: 03 Feb 2025 08:17 am Liverpool still lead Arsenal by 6 points and Nottingham Forest by 9 points. And how about NF, avenging a 5-0 loss last week by winning 7-0 yesterday vs BHA!!
And still with a match in hand. This won't be an easy month with league away fixtures to ManCity and Everton, and a home date with Newcastle. Add Thursday's cup tie with Spurs and it's a helluva stretch. A cup tie at Plymouth and a league home match against Wolves rounds out the month. I feel good about it all, and here's to running the table in February. YNWA.

Incredible finish yesterday at Goodison Park, with Everton equalizing about eight minutes into the five minute stoppage time. The place went freaking crazy!

F Everton. The referee lost control of the match well before the equalizer, allowed an additional 3-4 minutes based on 2 Everton players faking injuries, and then VAR completely overlooked a foul on Konate on that play. Everton fans storming the field like a bunch of amateurs. I hope they get relegated.

And now the blue side of the Mersey is hoping Arsenal catches Liverpool so they can claim they had a part it in. Not gonna happen.

Liverpool keeps their 7 point lead with a 2-1 win at home vs Wolves. All teams even now with 25 games played.

So Liverpool drops a couple points drawing away to Villa with a match away to ManCity tomorrow. Arsenal had an opportunity to pull within 5 points today, with a possibility of the Reds dropping more points tomorrow. But no, Arsenal loses 1-0 at home to West Ham. Oof. 12 matches left to make up 8 points and 8 goals.

What a weekend for Liverpool! The three teams behind them lose, and they are now 11 points ahead.

Yes almost time to celebrate. when your team is 13 points ahead with 10 matches to go and 6 of them at Anfield ... not to mention your closest rival has no striker really at the mement. feels great.. I like our chances! :D

the atmosphere was great yesterday vs Newcastle. I expect to see more of that soon. now the players get to rest after all their hard work and focus on PSG. what a shady draw that was for getting first in CHamps league table. we should be where Barca is at. PSG is excellent form and will be tough. being out of the FA cup is a nice benefit at the moment as well for Liverpool

ps. I still don't even think we have seen Slot's Liverpool top form yet this season. stay tuned.

It isn't out of the realm of possibilities for Liverpool to win the league by the most points in PL history. ManCity holds the record at 19 points. Liverpool is already 19 points clear of 3rd place Forest, and 13 points clear of Arsenal (both clubs have a match in hand). Liverpool is rolling and Arsenal is sputtering. Could be some extra bragging rights might come with the silverware.
