Blues beat Utah in regulation they are in no matter what. Calgary lose any of their last 3 in regulation the Blues are in.

Both teams will be feeling the pressure.

This team played too sloppy in the 3rd in their own end. OT looked horrible. Jake tried a low percentage stick handle through 2 players. Faulk made some poor plays with the puck in the last minute. Doesn’t look like a team primed to upset anyone in the playoffs. They might be better off having the 17th pick in the draft instead of the 20th.

No, you want the playoffs. Team needs the revenue, young players need that experience, team needs to be rewarded for their play after Four Nations.
It will be tough. Utah/Coyotes have had our number and just beat Stars on the road, but win in 60 minutes and you're in.
Picks 17-20 should be very similar.

Your 4th line cannot be on the ice for 3 GA at this time of the season. They just can’t. Outside of the Faksa goal they struggled again. They have been on the ice for a lot of big goals against the last couple of weeks.

I think the magic number is now 2 since we have a point tonight. We have tie breaker over calgary
Nope, the Blues need 3 to guarantee a spot.
Calgary can only get 96. We now have 94. We have tiebreaker. It seems that we Win at home and we are in.
Calgary could tie or surpass us in wins in regulation. Not sure what the secondary tie breaker is, but it’s pretty bleak right now.
ROW-Regulation and overtime wins not counting shootout wins.
Per ESPN ROW is second tie breaker so if Blues win Tuesday was are in. Magic number is 2.

Minny has 2 games to go and can finish with 97 points.
That's 1 more than the Blues could finish so there's no debate about Minny.
It's down to the Blues and Calgary.
The most points the Blues can finish with is 96.
Calgary has 3 games to go and could finish with 96 points too, but they could win out in regulation and pass the Blues in the tie breaker.
So even if the Blues win the their last game, Calgary still needs to lose a point for the Blues to get in.
The magic number is 3.

Did anyone question the choice of shooters by Montgomery in the shootout? Sometimes he mystifies me with his choice of players. . Why did it take round 6 to get to Kyrou for example? I do like Bolduc's shooting adeptness and glad he had an opportunity. But can Snuggie feel good after missing that?
Maybe Snuggerrud scores his 1st goal vs Utah . That would make me feel a little better

The Blues can clinch with a regulation win Tuesday. If Calgary wins all 3 in regulation (that would give them 32 regulation wins which is first tiebreaker) and the Blues win in Overtime or a shootout ( leaving Blues with 31 regulation wins) Calgary would win the tiebreaker.

The Blues still need the Flames to not win in regulation or loose a point somewhere.

On the flip side, if Calgary loses any of their final 3 games in regulation The Blues are in the playoffs regardless of what they do Tuesday night. Blues have an insurmountable lead (39 to 34) in 2nd tiebreaker ROW.

Yes, this is true. Blues control their own destiny but they need to win in regulation unless Sharks beat Calgary. They could still get in with a subsequent Flames loss in regulation after the Blues regular season is over.

A win doesn't necessarily get the Blues in. A win in regulation does. My bad.

Disgusting. What a pitiful effort that was. Seattle had 15 shots and beat the Blues, and deserved to.
