Kudos to Pallante... that could've been worse in the 1st inning. 5 IP, 2 R to start the season...not too shabby. Last year, we probably only score 1 in support of you. Feels better this year.

Well of the teams that are undefeated (LA, NYY, SD, PHI, and us), we are the only one with 100% of our wins being SP wins coming into today.sikeston bulldog2 wrote: ↑30 Mar 2025 14:49 pm Here’s one- how often does a team start the season with three starter wins.

if we keep hitting like this, those seats will be filled in short order....give it a few weeks.
Re: GDT: Cards vs. Twins (3/30) ~ 1:15pm CDT
Agreed, I don’t expect them to keep scoring every game like this, but continue to take the same approaches and at bats and they will win a lot of games. And winning cures all.

Yankees up 12-3 over the Brewers today. 4 more HRs, 2 by Chisholm Jr. Brewers looking at an 0-3 start.

Brewers 3
in the 7th inning
Judge with his 4th HR

Brewers can't wait to leave NYC

I'm not so dumb as to think that they won't struggle and slump this year, but it's very encouraging to see them jump out fast and hard. Get that confidence up early. And against a staff like Minnesota. They're not Seattle, but they're also no pushovers when it comes to pitching either.
Getting off to a great start is HUGE imo. Especially with the young lineup. They had the talent, it was just a matter of getting the right approach and having confidence.
Again, I may have been born at night--but not last night, but I feel WAY better about the bats. Three games in, yes, but against not a great pitching staff, but certainly an above average and probably underrated staff. Pablo Lopez had a good year peripherally, if not statistically last year. Joe Ryan's no slouch. Ober had a pretty decent year. And getting some damage against Duran, who's a danged fine closer, too. And Jax is also pretty good, too.
All's I'm saying is that it's not like we're torching the White Sox pitching staff. There's talent in Minnesota. And we're meeting them where they're at an staring them down. It's good to see!

Nice to see the offense, but the pitching has also done its job so far.
Re: GDT: Cards vs. Twins (3/30) ~ 1:15pm CDT
Marlins beat the Pirates on a walkoff wild pitch, typical way for the Pirates to lose
Re: GDT: Cards vs. Twins (3/30) ~ 1:15pm CDT
Looks like Jeffers is using a "torpedo" bat today.

Through 4 1/2 innings, the #STLCards lead the #MNTwins 8-2 at rainy Busch Stadium.
If the Cards hold on, they will be 3-0 for just the 17th time in 134 seasons and for the first time since 2006. That year they swept the #Phillies on the road and went on to win the World Series.
