Well that was 3+ hours of my life I’ll never get back.
My biggest concern at the moment??
Is someone keeping an eye on Noot in the clubhouse??
You know....to make sure he doesn’t further injure himself slipping in the shower or falling off the toilet?????
If he somehow manages to stay healthy through September and do ANYTHING at the plate please trade this tease.
At least swap him for a RH bat!

LMFAO
Three runs on ONE hit which was a ground ball to second base that should have been fielded.
Maybe SOMEONE can start a thread tomorrow about “Saggese at 2B or 3B in 2026”??????
Who would do that?
Hmmmm.....I wonder?????
LOL
we all know

Church is clearly the answer to all of our problems in CF.
really?? after one game?? hahahahaha
He's electric. 0-4 and missing the cutoff man allowing a runner to move into scoring position. I say extend him now.
stellar take

Retirement. He deserved to have the word “Fired” listed after his name several years ago

Yes, I'm clearly overreacting to one game. Honestly, just very frustrated at every single prospect we bring up being a dud. When do we get to see an exciting prospect actually thrive?

It was an ill advised throw but he hit the ball fairly hard without luck.

Fingers crossed.
They probably trade him and he wins the Gehrig/Ripken Award!

Garbage in garbage out
Losers lose again
Another sweep for Mo and Oli.
Cards are not very good.
Neither was the homeplate umpire.
Bring on the robots.
Just waiting for this terrible season to end.
I've been told numerous times on CT that we should love human error in umps, even though some absolutely suck at calling balls and strikes. Why should their repeated mistakes be part of the game even though their calls can throw games to one team or the other? It is time for ABS in some form.

And the way Mikolas pitched, this could have been a total blowout. 5 walks and 1 K. And of his 14 batted ball outs, about 10 were hit at 95 mph or better. So even when he just sucks a little less, he ain't very good, just lucky. In the 1st inning alone, 3 outs were recorded at 105, 102 and 99.

Agree games should be won and lost by players not bad calls from umpires.

If they ever do go full automation, the umps will only have themselves to blame. That guy today should never be seen near home plate again. You wonder how he ever got promoted to the Bigs.

Judge should not be standing on 2nd right now. Church missed the cutoff man. Ugh.
I really think he was trying to throw home for some reason. Luckily it didn't cost us.
Mental error.
I’ll give the kid a slight pass in that it is his debut and he’s pumped up.
But....why aren’t the infielders all yelling “second base!!!!!”??????
Exactly. And the infielders didn't have hands up to signal where to throw.
throw is always supposed to be head high on the cutoff man, who decides whether to cut it or allow it to go thru
Yes. But the infielders are supposed to be in position and hands up. Not standing around.

That was my thought.
Mental errors all around!
Laziness. Unfocused play. Happens too often. But some on here says oli does a good job.

A good manager and staff doesn't allow that (bleep) to continue.
Agree
Players make mental mistakes but this team lacks basic fundamentals and that has to fall on the Manager and his Coaches to a fairly high degree.
Along with poor baserunning and lack of hustle at times.
