That could put them eight out if the scrubbies win tonight and probably drop them behind the Padres, Giants and ??? for the final WC.

That would mean the "FOR SALE" sign would go up outside Busch Stadium and the dealing would begin.
I truly wish that “For Sale by Owner” would go up outside of Busch III.
and then watch the team move to Salt Lake or Nashville.
Never happen

MLB won't ever approve the Cardinals moving.

Cards will probably sweep the cubs this weekend.
The Guardians were awful against the Cards, I couldn't believe they had won 40 games with their lineup. The Pirates are hot but there it no excuse for the poor play by the Cards. The Cubs will sweep us and it won't be pretty.
We’ll probably take 2 out of 3 from the Cubs now. If we had come in hot maybe then the Cubs would sweep us, but since we’re coming in lousy we’ll take 2 of 3. It’s how baseball rolls.
They will get swept in Chicago
Doubt it.

I would think MLB would welcome a more proactive owner in a larger market.

I hate to say it, but that might be a good thing. This team is going nowhere, too many subpar players, need a reset.
Imagine that sticking to their plan.

Pirates have given up 4 runs over their last 6 games. That’s a pretty incredible run.

And Joey Frickin Ortiz just hit a grand slam against the Mets to go up 6-2. Brewers have HRs today from Sal Frelick and Ortiz.

Brewers have had a solid club for the last 10 years - smaller payroll than the Cards for most of those, probably.
