Very true ! He got burned on Arenado ball as wind blowing in held it up. Knowing that , one would think he would be cautious on any subsequent deep balls to left field .
As you stated, he doesn’t watch the fielders. He goes by the sound of the ball off the bat only it seems. Definitely a weakness in his announcing. Otherwise, he does a nice job.
