Happy Easter. I'm happy our celebration was too late to watch the game.

Didn't think we'd get swept by the Mets after that homestand.
Better luck in Dixie.

...Cards play the next 10 games, then see the Mets again (for the last time this season) at Busch III for a 3-game series starting May 2nd. Do you think the Mets will sweep that series also...? or, Cards win the series...? The team roster will probably look different for the Cards in that series...

Same here... I did catch the last 2 innings, which was probably a mistake for a Cards fan...

What change could the Cards make with the available minor league bodies that would create a different outcome from the sweep we just witnessed?

Same for me. Still visiting with family and just checked the score. Oh well.
Happy Easter all. Maybe even the Cardinals can be raised from the dead.

Probably nothing to win now. Any moves should be to clear space for young guys to audition for '26 and beyond. Burleson needs to be traded or sent to AAA. When Winn and Herrera return I don't want him blocking Gorman, and Oli can't help himself. Siani could help a contender with a strong offense. Fedde and Helsley, fine pitchers both, but don't belong on a non-contender in their final year of control.

...Well, Winn should be back, causing a shuffle in the lineupp. Probably a relief pitcher or two headed south to Memphis also. Not sure any of that will improve the team, but maybe some of the regulars (looking at you, Noot and Walker) will start hitting. Just a little timely hits would have made a difference in a couple games on this road trip...

To quote Ron Santo, "Oh no, no!"

I hate saying this on Easter guys, but I’m afraid this is who we are, predicted by many at the beginning of the season-and I think that’s exactly what’s happening right now.

Should Arenado's scripted day off have occurred even though the Cardinals were trying to avoid an historic 4 game sweep? I just think sometimes you have to change on the fly and, frankly, that isn't a strength of this team right now.
(And it was scripted--despite the HBP he was noted as available.)

At least Oli didn't run out Fernandez to blow another game.

He's the bestest backup C in MLB history! That's what I've been told by some on CT.
I don’t think he’ll carry a 600+ ops after another 30 days go by.
