How many of them had him getting demoted in the first week? He only got two starts… went 2/4 his last, and the next day sent to AAA.

/grumble
Strider’s elbow is barking… that would be a rough break.
Yep… MRI today. Great time to have traded away Hicks.

I should be just fine, though - all I need to do is pick up some useless bums and have them pitch like prime Koufax, like you.
Losing your first round pick always blows.

I took Bieber with my first pick in my money keeper league (pick 3, round 6 - 5 keepers / 12 teams), was feeling good for a week!
Your relatable anecdote is losing… Bieber? lol

In another one of my leagues, some idiot just dropped Bibee. So I have a shot at picking him up, possibly not as damaged from the Strider loss.

Maybe that’s what this league is missing - need more idiots.

Any ideas what Strider’s “not TJ” might have been?

Had the internal brace procedure... like a super strength fibertape suture that they attach to the ligament to strengthen it.

So, no UCL replacement... just strengthening the damaged tendon they put in there to replace the previous one.

I’m not going to whine too much about my 3rd Round Pick, Royce Lewis, who is habitually injured and was a thoughtful gamble to begin with.

I know we whine a lot about our Top Prospects (Taveras, Reyes) not panning out, but I think of the Twinkies and their bad luck with Top Draft Picks (Buxton #2 - 2012, Lewis #1 - 2017). The fans endured terrible baseball and are rewarded with guys who can’t stay on the field…
I’m sure Correa made their fans feel warm and fuzzy when he tried to sign w/ every team but theirs before finally settling for a lousy $200M.

My heart goes out to you and Chad Bradford. I think he was 1% rostered when you drafted him, so you saw something in him his own mother didn’t.

MattMitchell44 - 126
An Old Friend - 123
Cardinals4Life - 122.5
DJ Davis - 111
Jeffy25 - 107
imadamnman - 106
Quincy Varnish - 105
Booooyah - 100
Whatashame - 94.5
Cool Papa Con - 88.5
Dazepster - 87.5
SamTheMan - 79.5
sdaltons - 70.5
ggnoobs - 67.5
Barking Lion - 51.5

I’m dominating the league in transactions, which is what really matters.

You have 41 transactions. Cardinals4Life has 1. That’s awesome. sdaltons using the Cardinals’ method of hope as a strategy, just 3 moves but at the back end of the standings.

I’m also winning the race to zero FAB dollars.

Strangely, we have not heard more from Dazepster regarding the miscarriage of justice that prevented him from claiming the worst hitter in the majors.

DJ and I are middle of the pack on transactions at 12 apiece. Quincy is a constant tinkerer. Matt has 21 moves and is second to Quincy.

He was (upset) that he didn’t claim Scott while he was freely available to everyone.

I've now figured out that FantasyPros will give you their projections for actual production in each of our categories (instead of that weird % measurement) for the rest of the season.

I'm going to wait until the end of the month (because it will be easier to calculate the rate stats, e.g., your current ERA * 1/6 + your projected rest of season ERA * 5/6 to get an expected total ERA for the season) to update the new expectations/predictions at that point.
…undoubtedly with the hope that your ERA is not the third worst in the league in 12 days

Jesus christ thats a lot of moves already. I usually lead the league in transactions in my fantasy football league where we get as many as we want. In our baseball league we are limited to 3 a week.
Yep. Possibly overboard, I’d admit… but I typically lead my leagues in moves, and I typically win them. This is a very deep league, and I did not draft a single legit closer… so there was a bit of a scramble getting some viable options.

I will add that one of those moves, and an early one, included Jared Jones - the best young starter in the league, full stop.
