I think we need an upgrade on the blue line. Byram is available, he wants out and would fit in perfect here. Watched some of the Sabres last night, he looks good, and he was playing his offside. That’s a guy that I would love to see Army pursue and we know the Blues have had serious interest in dealing for him.
Good to see a realistic take from a guy that liked the trade (and I assume you still do). LM is not ready. That is clear. Sucks that we traded Bolduc and are still looking for help at the position, but that is reality right now. In a few years, maybe LM will fill a need. He is nowhere near that guy right now.
I didn’t mind the trade because of the depth we have at forward. Some trades don’t work out. I still don’t believe the company line that this was just a trade of two teams dealing from strengths. I still think there is more to why the Blues moved on from Bolduc as fast as they did…we just aren’t privy to that info. Army and the organization don’t really miss like this. Gonna take a couple of years to figure out what Mailloux actually is but yeah he’s clearly not ready and I don’t know if you can afford to keep him in your lineup just to save face. Feels like we still need one quality NHL dman

I keep coming back to Pronger, his first season in St. Louis was - not good. But he did get better as the season wore on. It's on the coaches and GM to know how much patience to exercise. I doubt they pull the plug after four games and I certainly do not believe saving face is a factor.

One of them needs a solid 3rd pairing vet dman who is a defensive dman who can take them under his wing.

Left Dman is much, much easier to find and acquire.

Byrum isn't that guy, we can't pay 6.5 million to a 3rd pair guy.

If we were going to get him it was going to be at the expense of Cam Fowler, now that he's extended Byrum likely isn't in the plans anymore.

Too expensive to acquire and too expensive to have on the 3rd pair.

Need to look more at a vet 3rd pairing.

All this talk about two defenders playing 11 minutes a night.

When it's all about the goaltending. We go where our goalies take us. I hate it. But that's what was built.

He still got the secondary assist though for that blunder so Harry York will say he’s got the best hockey IQ on the team
The guy’s a train wreck. I am perplexed on what he is thinking on these “passes” he makes. Like I said, I hope there’s a team that’s really desperate at the deadline or before..
He has a NTC, we are stuck with the 8 million dollar bonehead.
