No matter how long i watch baseball and understand about the 162 marathon its still crazy a team like the cardinals can sweep the Indians and look like a 100 win team that cant be stopped then play the lowly pirates and look like a team going to lose 100 games lol crazy. Cards will probably sweep the cubs this weekend.
Pittsburgh is bad, but not Cleveland bad. They had 4 guys under .150 and 7 under .240. And their bullpen was beyond awful. The only reason their record was close to .500 was that lousy division they're in.

I know we can't catch the Rockies for the #10 pick next year, but we can certainly make an easy go at the #11 pick. 2026 is a deeper draft up top than 2025....Make a go for #11 pick, Bloom!!!! Sell, sell, sell. If it's not bolted down, then sell it.

The Guardians were awful against the Cards, I couldn't believe they had won 40 games with their lineup. The Pirates are hot but there it no excuse for the poor play by the Cards. The Cubs will sweep us and it won't be pretty.

No, the Cards will go into Wrigley and sweep the Cubs. Because baseball.

We're probably both wrong, that's baseball.

We’ll probably take 2 out of 3 from the Cubs now. If we had come in hot maybe then the Cubs would sweep us, but since we’re coming in lousy we’ll take 2 of 3. It’s how baseball rolls.

Not likely with both Mikolas and Fedde due to pitch.

This might be the beginning of the end of this group if they go into Wrigley and lose all three.
That could put them eight out if the scrubbies win tonight and probably drop them behind the Padres, Giants and ??? for the final WC.
That would mean the "FOR SALE" sign would go up outside Busch Stadium and the dealing would begin.

If the Pirates allow the cards to leave town…..
Blockade that club house and get back in the race.

I hate to say it, but that might be a good thing. This team is going nowhere, too many subpar players, need a reset.

...The Rip Van Winkle Cards now with no runs since Cleveland. Did not score in the 9th in the last game at Cleveland, and have not scored in 26 innings in Pittsburgh...That is a new record for this year...27 scoreless innings...
...Update...Cards did not score in 9th inning... scoreless streak now at 28 innings and continues going to Chicago...
I have never seen a Cards series where they did not score at all. Probably other records set as well... This is one that will talked about for a long time...

and then watch the team move to Salt Lake or Nashville.
