If 0 or 1 out , then a long fly ball scores the run but there were 2 outs so the only advantage is if there is a wild pitch or pass ball so not worth the risk of trying to get to 3rd .

Francona is doing nothing with his current Reds team. Why would be be doing any better here with this roster?
