Crooks looked pretty durn good blocking balls in the dirt.
Fernandez gave him plenty of practice.

not de la Cruz's night !

Winner, despite Oli
Oli was smart tonight saving Fernandez for the end. Reds announcers said they had not scored on him this year. So guess they were psyched out .

Oli knew that . :D

Before tonight: 4 career innings vs the Reds. No runs. 2 hits.

Now: 5 career innings vs the Reds. No runs. 2 hits.

If 0 or 1 out , then a long fly ball scores the run but there were 2 outs so the only advantage is if there is a wild pitch or pass ball so not worth the risk of trying to get to 3rd .
His getting picked off was the second out.
yes, sorry ! I realized that after posting it but was too late to delete. Thanks ! Duh me
I do it too. I call them senior moments. LOL

Winn played one heck of a game. He is a run producer in critical times.

If only the Cards had that mastermind Terry Francona managing, they'd most likely be undefeated this season. Or so Cards Talk tells me.

He's navigating the Reds to 1.5 games better than the dead in the water Cards. Mastermind indeed.

So cards talk told you the cardinals would most likely be undefeated if they had Francona they would most likely be undefeated? lol I haven’t seen one person post that. I’ve seen a lot of posts from people who think it would have been better to hire a guy like Francona who has two world championships and won three manager of the year awards instead of a guy who never managed over class a

Cards Talk tells me if we had Francona, this team would be great. Oli is the only reason this team isn't contending for a World Series.

Francona is doing nothing with his current Reds team. Why would be be doing any better here with this roster? Managers get way too much credit when teams win and way too much blame when they lose.

Well if managers don’t make a difference why are you so hurt people would want refer a 2 time world championship winning 3 time manager of the year award manager over a guy who never managed over class a? Seems like a strange thing to be upset over if managers are irrelevant
