How does a team go from barely above .500 with two journeymen goaltenders and in one off season become a team that only has 2 loses in regulation through the first 38 games of the season?

There's dominating and then there's things just don't make sense. MacKinnon and Makar aren't that dominating.

Seems like something is going to give with that team soon.

they have been Injury free...last season Mackinnon and Makar were both injured so that is the difference. Plus Blackwood is playing well.

That right there is the main thing. I think they showed in one of the highlights I saw recently they are now at 18 games without an injury. That's just stupid in the NHL.

They are way overdue not only for an injury but a key injury.

Buch has not been the same player since the failed attempt at center. It’s night and day. He used to be a shoot first forward and now he has a shoot last mentality. He will not shoot unless there is absolutely no other option. There is no fixing this team if Montgomery refuses to remove Buch from the top line.
