Right. Kuddos to the dad, who diffused the situation with the obnoxious lady. No, she didn’t deserve the baseball. She should have been escorted from the stadium. Social media will not be kind to her.
He should have shown his boy a lesson in standing up for himself. The right course of action would have been for him to remain calm and keep informing the woman that his son is keeping the ball. Handle it like a man.
Not everyone defines “like a man” the same way.

I guess I'm not shocked that nobody knows this lady. Can't imagine anyone that acts like that has too many friends.

Obviously she works at the dmv. That’s where I’d start.

So, standing up for your son and setting a good example is being an "insecure tough guy?"

And people wonder how we got from saving the world from fascism and communism to men in dresses.

Why does "being a man" include escalating a situation over a freaking baseball. A baseball!!!!!

I'd have done the exact same thing if I were that guy. "Here lady, if a stupid baseball is that [fork]ing important to you, here you go." Then my family and I would have a lifetime of laughs over the ridiculous lady we encountered at a baseball game that one time that crashed out over a baseball.

Agree. He stayed calm, tried to bring attention to the fact that the ball was going to a kid, then eventually deescalated by handing it over. I think a good lesson was taught to the kid and the Phillies reinforced it by rewarding it after the fact.

Because it's America in 2025. Which is not a great reason, but it's an accurate one. And my family and I would have done the same thing.

I did think it was funny how first reacted to being touched by her. I’m sure I would have had a similar reaction not knowing why a stranger touched me. I just wouldn’t want 10 million people to see it!

Yeah, kinda surprised that hasn't gotten more attention. It's clear he hasn't been through a lot of in-your-face situations as his--sorry to say it but there's really no better way--girly waving of his arms and fists showed.

And as far as no one identifying this Karen as of yet, Charlie Kirk and the Colorado school shooting really worked to her advantage. She'll likely be completely forgotten in a matter of weeks.
