Who is that loudmouth in the luxury box next to the Fox TV booth?
Very lazy throw by Victor Scott that allowed Blaze Alexander to go to 2nd on the 2nd inning deep fly.
You haven't seen him much in MLB, but tonight's D'backs DH Adrian Del Castillo can flat out HIT. He's blocked at catcher by Gabby Moreno, but they'll find room for that bat by moving him to 1B if they trade Naylor.
If...IF...the D'backs go all-in as trade deadline sellers, just imagine the cheaper haul they might reap for sluggers Suarez and Naylor, and SPs Kelly and Gallen, rather than renewing them next year at twice their current pay.

I think of him as a greeter, like at Walmart. "Welcome to the base paths!"

Somehow that doesn't make me feel all that much better after blowing all these $ for these three games. Unfortunately, the money is already spent. Sigh. Maybe Mikolas will surprise us?
Still fun to take the family to a few ballgames. However, a win tomorrow would make it a lot more fun.

Miles will get it done for you tomorrow. He always pitches best when you expect nothing from him.cardsfaninla wrote: ↑19 Jul 2025 21:12 pmSomehow that doesn't make me feel all that much better after blowing all these $ for these three games. Miles depending on his at 'em ball in that pinball palace doesn't bode well.cardsfaninla wrote: ↑19 Jul 2025 21:12 pmSomehow that doesn't make me feel all that much better after blowing all these $ for these three games. I never expect anything from him against a good lineup.MIDMOBIRDTWO wrote: ↑19 Jul 2025 21:17 pmMiles will get it done for you tomorrow. It looks like the Cardinal have to do a quick overhaul of their pitching.
Fedde, Mikolas, Plante and Gray are worthless.
I would try to get Gray to agree to waive off his NTC and move on.
At the deadline, try to trade Gray, Helsley, Gorman, Matz, Nootsbar, and possibly Walker.
No one is going to take Gray with his high salary so Cardinal need to be creative.
This organization is a mess and a big reason attendance is way down.
Bloom should be allowed to call the shots and have Mo enjoy his "beautiful family.".
Oli needs to be replaced in the off-season.
Bloom has inherited a "horrible" situation. He has to start from scratch!

I get what you’re saying but if I’m being honest if I was getting payed 87 million to play baseball a game which I love I would be smiling and having fun no matter what the score was

If he waives his NTC Gray should receive interest from mutiple teams. Heck he may be the #1 SP available over Sandy and his 7+ ERA.straight out of st louis robert ave wrote: ↑19 Jul 2025 21:21 pm It looks like the Cardinal have to do a quick overhaul of their pitching.

I agree about the players. There is a losing dynamic in place. Players have to be traded or change to improve this team.Cusecards wrote: ↑19 Jul 2025 20:40 pmThe players are far and away more to blame.Voldemort wrote: ↑19 Jul 2025 20:17 pm... and no one's job is more secure than Oli's!Cusecards wrote: ↑19 Jul 2025 19:47 pm Wow
This is beyond physical talent.
*Swept in Pittsburgh by a last place team. And they were not even competitive.
*They rallied to take one in Chicago but the other two were blowouts.
*Lose 2 of 3 to the mediocre Braves at home.
*Looking like a sweep against the also mediocre D’backs?
And to come out of the break listless and without ANY focus is inexcusable.
This team appears to have mentally and emotionally mailed it in.
Stay tuned!
But....in a tight spot Oli brings absolutely nothing positive to the team.
