Can I raise a practical question at this point? Are the Cards gonna be buyers at the trade deadline?
As they did 2 seasons ago at the deadline they’ll start with the pending FA’s.
Any they don’t intend to attempt to resign should be moved.
Helsley probably the biggest decision of the bunch.
I like Matz but health is always a question.
Then there of course is Arenado.
Gray? Contreras?
I think they stay.
I’d put Nootbaar in a package before his value slips to nothing.
They have some position player depth to deal from.
You're confusing quantity with quality.
This organization has done that for years.
The question was about the types of moves they might make?
I never said they were going to get great talent back.

You mentioned position player depth.
Where?
They have 2-3 players who can’t play each position.

Those two get a full year at AAA and don’t come back until they are absolutely mashing AAA pitching. If they don’t within 2 years, trade em for whatever you can get.
I know some are only worth a bag of balls, but make the trades and send down the guys noted above. Go full on youth movement. Call up the young guys at Memphis and give them a chance. Absolutely no reason for us to see Mikolas, Fedde or Gorman ever again on the Cardinals.
It will take 3-4 years to see a good team again, but we won’t have to see this half [ashed] measure of a “reset” that dumb[ash] Mo came up with. I am done until that bow tie wearing (buzz) is out of a job. Again, I hope his wife if cheating with every gangbanger in the Lou, because he is an arrogant P[ositively] O[bnoxious] S[impleton] who doesn’t deserve anything good.
And get a real manager. Not a midget.

1 run in 4 games. 1 [fork]ing run. And if it wasn’t for Brendan’s homer, we’d be getting no hit on a day at Wrigley when the wind is blowing out. Where the other team has 8 [fork]ing homers. This team is [fork]ing horrendous.

Now...now....DeTwit is a wonderful owner and can't afford to upgrade this team and Mo-ran has a beautiful family!
