Fun game so far - St Louis has a lot of young talent that they can trade for a game changer if the cup window is open.

After a shaky start kaprowski has looked good
Re: Tom Kurver Prospect Showcase
Much better in the 3rd period. Blues played much better in the 3rd also.
Re: Tom Kurver Prospect Showcase
Well dam that didn't take long. Kid had some speed.
Hawks win 3 - 2
Blues looked good.

Despite that ending in OT, that was a heckuva game.

That kid was flying. I knew that was gonna be trouble back in the Hawks zone.

Still a really poor angle and play by Jiricek. Oh well, he’s still a few years away, so hopefully he learns.HighStick wrote: ↑13 Sep 2025 20:16 pmThat kid was flying. I knew that was gonna be trouble back in the Hawks zone.

That, my friends, is what this tournament is all about. Exposure. Experience. Learning.TruBlueFan_1970 wrote: ↑13 Sep 2025 20:18 pmStill a really poor angle and play by Jiricek. He'll be fine. And better for it.

Stenberg was probably the best Blue, Dvorsky too quiet I've seen that from him in a few AHL games. He had a nice attempt late in the 3rd but I really don't feel like I saw enough vs kids this age

I agree. I like the skillset of Dvo, but he just doesn’t look NHL ready. I said it last night too, but none of these guys look like they are NHL ready.Harry S Deals wrote: ↑13 Sep 2025 20:52 pm Stenberg was probably the best Blue, Dvorsky too quiet I've seen that from him in a few AHL games. I can’t get the feed. I reckon you must start before it ends or you are screwed…Harry S Deals wrote: ↑13 Sep 2025 20:52 pm Stenberg was probably the best Blue, Dvorsky too quiet I've seen that from him in a few AHL games. Sternberg is very smart and very quick. If he was bigger, oh what a player. It’s great to see a number 28 who is smallish, but plays with confidence and is always in the right place.
I mention Dvorsky being calm yesterday. Too bloody calm, huh?

Re: Tom Kurver Prospect Showcase
Oliver Moore was a tough matchup all night good player and he got loose wide and won the game. Hawks goalie was their best player otherwise the Blues probably win by a few goals. Idk all in all I don't take much from a prospects tourney kids haven't played in 4 or 5 months, practice, jump on a plane to St Paul.
For Dvorsky it's going to be practices and pre season games that decide where he starts the season

Jiricek is like Kyrou playing defense; smooth, slick and gifted offensively but frail, weak on the puck and gets caught reaching a lot.
Re: Tom Kurver Prospect Showcase
I thought I heard one of the announcers tonight say that Jiricek had put on 25 lbs. Did anyone else catch that?
