What you're saying is like telling a person who just graduated from college that they need to go back to school because they're still an undergraduate.

You're wrong about Walker. He has the highest ceiling of any Cardinal prospect since Taveras.
That may be. But he has to deliver at some point.
Peak years for a major leaguer? 27-29 years old. Don't give up on players too soon.
lol 27-29 isn’t magical years for a player there are a lot of players that age that suck and if you suck you aren’t going to magically get good just because you turn 27. True Good players usually peak and have their best years at those ages but players that suck guess what they also suck during those years
You’re right, Ozziesfan, but you never know how good they can be unless they have time to adjust and mature at the major league level.

Jordan Walker had 27 games at the A level, 55 games at the High A level, 129 games at the AA level and only 118 games at the AAA level. That’s smokin’
fast for a high school kid. Some people seem to forget that. They want him to produce “now”, but he needs a tad bit more runway.
I agree Mo and the cardinals bungled his development rushing him to the majors hoping he would Be their savior but they shouldn’t bring him and Gorman back. One of them needs to go

Gorman’s had 1,423 major league plate appearances
and is 25 years old. Walker’s had 901 major league plate appearances and is 23 years old. No comparison.

Gorman has a whole season’s worth of PAs more than Walker and is 2 years older. Give Walker this year and next before judging.

Keep them both and move Nootbaar and Arenado (eating all the contract if you have to). But they have to play every day.

Agreed....another half (donkey) decision by the Mo-ran...I'm not excited by either player...and Walker continues to be a enigma...give him this year and see if he a player worth keeping.

Walker has huge power potential, and is the RH MOTO slugging OFer we’ve been looking for. He just needs the right pitching coach. Wish Edmonds could spend a few days in the batting cage with him.

Red - Russell and FutureGM have also commented on this thread. Wouldn’t you like to address them, too?
They feel the same way I do about calling the Cards a “AAA” team when half of the MLB teams have lost more games than the Cardinals.

#46

Question: Who have the Cardinals drafted in the last 15 years in the first round that has made a huge impact on the team? The Cardinals minor leagues have been overrated for years. And I don't mean making to the Cardinals, a huge impact.

You can disagree, but good grief, man. You’re acting like your mother was insulted.

Oh, is that the issue? Dusty Blake isn’t the right man to help Jordan Walker?

Rat - would suggest you include Russell and FutureGM, as I suggested to Red. I’m sure not the lone wolf in thinking this thread is inane. All Red does is bash the team he’s followed and been a fan of for a number of decades. It gets really old.
