Exactly, this is the type of (bleep) that infuriates me. You go Granillo, Maton, Helsley, 7tg, 8th, 9th, unless the Cardinals pull ahead by more than 3 runs. That's the strategy. Why on earth would you try to get another inning out of Matz when the rest of your BP is so good.

Even if you decide to leave Matz in, surely you see the error of your ways after the first runner gets on, and you bring in Granillo, then.
