...And...that's a WINNAH..!! Cards shut out the Phillies for the 2nd time this series (the only 2 times the Phils have been shut out so far this season)... Phils have lost 3 of last 4 games played, and some of the "shine" has come off their record... They go home for 4 games against the Giants, who sport a 10-4 record going into today's game. They are in 2nd place behind the Padres in a tough NL West division...
Cards will welcome a Houston team for 3 games, who have an almost identical record of 6-8, going into today's game... Should be a good series... GO CARDS...!

Wow....just goes to show you never know!
After that 1-5 road trip capped by that awful extra inning loss to the awful Pirates I feared the bottom dropping out.
2 out of 3 to a very good Phils team.

For those who wanted a faster game, that game was 2 hours and 12 minutes. That is the equivalent of a college softball game.

Encouraging results today from Liberatore, Contreras, Walker and Arenado. Not so much from Burleson.
