haha love Buch interviews, and so do John and Jamie.

Jamie talking about Buch being funny and one of the good guys - they love him in the locker room and he's a type you need in the room. Good stuff.

Didn't think the Blues would make the playoff because of the math. Who could have predicted this streak for a team that couldn't win 3 in a row all year? Nobody wants to play the Blues in the playoffs now.
Close to a hundred Blues Talkers predicted this winning streak based on many of the posts that have been made since the 4 nations tournament. I never dreamt it would be this good. Hopefully it carries over into the next season unlike the last two years and all the talk of high draft picks will disappear, at least until we've maxed our cap space haven't been to a Cup Final and still feel like we need another difference maker to put us over the top. Then this season will be remembered as a lost opportunity to have gotten that missing piece in this upcoming draft.

I didn't see this coming. The best I could get was "Never say 'Never'".

How is winning games like this ever a lost opportunity? This team went through more than it's share of adversity early in the season and they're now playing like this without Parayko. Young players are right in there with the vets laying it all on the line, leading the team, improving as the season plays out. This is opportunity GRASPED. It's great hockey.

Buchnevich resigned here when he easily could have moved on. Holloway and Broberg chose to leave a Cup Finalist to play here. These guys and all the rest are busy doing everything you'd ever ask of players to WIN hockey games. Two touted draft picks are parked on the bench, watching, waiting their turn, hopefully learning what this is all about.

This season may well be remembered as the Second Great Awakening.

No it won't, at least for most of us. There is plenty of time to shop around after the end of the season and th start of next. But if things work out, it may not be necessary.

I don’t think you can call a timeout on an icing anymore
You nailed it. I just looked it up. Thanks

I'm just predicting what will be said by some if we don't win at the highest level before Parayko, Schenn, Binnington, & Buch etc. are done. I'm not agreeing with it.

It's been a while since I've been that stressed out during a regular season game.

The boys played as good as could be expected, and now they get 2.5 days of rest so good for them.

Pros:

Most everyone gave all
They kept everything to the outside
You could see the Avs frustration
Bolduc continues to be fantastic
The WTF line is the new Sunny D, Steen, Barbashev line. It got to the point as Rivers pointed out Bednar didn't want Macs line out against them

Cons

Kyrou's worst game in quite while. Seemed he had no legs so I'd guess either the altitude got to him or he's fighting the flu
Too many turnovers. This has been a bit of an issue the past few games, it absolutely has to get cleaned up
Not much of a forecheck this game as they let the Avs control a good amount of play and really with their talent it's not that suprising

Hard to believe Bednar kept Macs line and Makar out there for the entire 2+ minutes they had the goalie pulled.

Agreed. We may have enough already but I don't think so.
I'm the kind that wants to have nukes in reserve for an arm wrestling contest so I hope the few additions that may have to be made outside the prospect pool are Fowler + level. Maybe we can buy them, trade for them or both. I think it takes more than one off-season. In fact the Steen may slow play that if he wants longer looks at the prospects.
