They were jinxed when they were saying how great they were (Buch, Kyrou, Jake) when up 5-1 and they said that line had 3g, 5a and were +6.

Yep. It was more fun when it was 5-1 but that really isn't what we need. No harm, no foul.
Mere inches from 6-1. However, when they got dog walked like they did at the end, I feel a lot less sentimental about certain pieces

What i learned from this one is pretty simple. Neither goalie is worth counting on. Both disappear at random times at this point, i am unconvinced that there is a realistic 1A left in binner or down the road in Hofer.

When the worm turned the Blues didn't have a line that could step up and check. The 4th line was terrible tonight, but even the Buchnevich line ran out of gas. No checking, sloppy passes, no puck possession.

Which goals were soft?
These are the same goals that have been going in against Binnington and everyone wants Hofer. Hofer gives up the same goals and it’s not his fault.
It's funny to watch how people react to the two goalies on here.

Why is he starting Binny? Does he not care about winning?

Hofer plays instead and is also terrible. Why isn't he bringing in Binny?!?!?!
Yep. That’s my point. I’m not sticking up for Binnington. I’m saying neither goalie has been great since the New Year and they aren’t getting much help from the 5 guys in front of them. It’s a whole bunch of issues. And this team has zero confidence. None. Nada. Zilch.
You sound so stupid I really don’t think you’re watching the games.

Hofer has a couple leaky games and now he’s on the same level as Binnington who has been the joke of the league since the start. How hard is that to comprehend?

Despite Hofer’s first sign of struggling since early November, this is his first loss in those games where he’s let up 3 or more goals.

Now read my post again and shut the F up!
Where in my post did I quote you? Why do I need to reread what you wrote when I didn’t even reference it?

Bright side is that the Hawks won and the Jets got a late goal to get a point. Canucks….well, they may never win another game. Lol

Hofer could have stopped one or two of them but the team in front checked out completely.

Rollin' on the River wrote: 02 Feb 2026 21:50 pm Yikes. Not many creams would blow a 5 goal lead for th regulation loss
It was a 4 goal lead but since you mentioned it……

There has been only 4 total 4 goal leads now blown by 3 creams. The Blues have blown 2 four goal leads this season. The refs gave Tampa the game for a fake comeback last night. So really only 1 other cream has blown a 4 goal lead this season.

The other was one of their best game of the year at Detroit then Binnington appeared.

Cant say that for one goalie and not the other.

Both goalies have had chances to make a larger chunk of bigger saves, but remain near the absolute bottom of HDSC saved. It's that way for a reason.

The 4th line has been garbage for weeks now. Walker and Sunny with their dumb penalties. Joseph is an AHL player and should be on waivers after the Olympics when Thomas and Stenberg are back. Toropchenko has been way too passive and ineffective as well. I’d argue Fabbri should be in the lineup every night

Right. They got a couple fluky bounces and we weren't able to bury the one we had.

Same with a minute or two into the 3rd (I think) and Kyrou was in the slot and let go a wrister that barely caught the goalies shoulder. That would have been a big goal too. May have been near end of 2nd, I’m getting old and can’t remember

Who is confused? I didn’t quote you. You told me to reread what you wrote and I don’t care what you wrote. You think Hofer is God, I don’t. There’s lots of holes in his game. Has nothing to do with Binnington. IMO, he isn’t a no. 1 yet. You want to move Binnington, I’m fine with that. I’m not fine with making Hofer my no. 1. That’s my point.
