Rare game I didn’t get to watch but caught the end. Looks like more of the same from this group. While the blues lately seem to be a late season team, this group is playing some uninspiring hockey. The game in Vancouver is really the only solid game long effort they’ve had all year

Overall they played better than the score, but mistakes and fumbles killed them.

There were some good things tonight, but man, getting behind by two in the first minute is just dumb. Not sure what is going on with Hofer. This is strange.

Can they play a complete game tomorrow? Will the Binnington we know help them?

TBS, I didn't understand the Fowler extension as much as I didn't understand the Bolduc trade.

Both were completely unforced mistakes that almost make me glad Army's retiring at the end of season.

And Hofer... my gawd, no words can describe this.
Maillouxs best game so far +1 SOG looked better gotta tell you this is the only reason I watched to see his development. Hope it changes but the Blues goaltending is horrid worst in the NHL. Oddly the rest of the Blues stats point to them being a better team

Don't need Ellis. Need Hofer instead.

Don't need TOP5 pick. Crosby and Malkin are only good for 20 years after all. We can make do with Kyrou and Thomas.
And right on cue. Imagine that.

Not even sure what to do with Hofer at this point. He doesn’t even give them a chance. His angles are off. His glove is way too low most shots. He just looks completely inept.

And what would he have done to keep Ellis? And the Blues can’t draft, so who would want one of their picks?

No GM in the league would have moved Hofer to play Ellis.

Looking at the 'bright' side...

He'd probably clear waivers.

I can get 3 free with parking and choosing not to go. Lol. Such a bad team right now. Hope they eventually get it together.

I agree. They had some clean looks, but his angles are way off and he’s giving too much net to shoot at for such a big guy. Even with the good looks, (bleep) man, you gotta make some saves.

And his positioning is everything. He’s. It an agile guy laterally. That’s the knock on him, so if he can’t play his angles right and be technically tight, this is what you get.

Have you guys seen that a Pittsburgh fan is in critical condition after falling from the upper deck after the second goal tonight?

Agreed. And totally useless on the PP. And when you have to use Sunny on the PP, it shows we just don’t have the skilled players. The Pens threw it around tape to tape on their PP. When is the last time we saw a tape to tape pass on the PP?
