Come on now. He has a no trade clause.

The young talent discovery is truly amazing this Year Of Yutes
We’ll have discovered our OF is primed with .230 hitting no power JAGS
Our hitting catchers can’t Catch…..the young playing catchers can’t hit
Gorman is as inconsistent as he is injury proned…..
So given these great revelations……what exactly do you do with the Youth Discovery of 2025???
Realize what most already knew…..that they weren’t any better than what we’ve seen in the past?
Roll out another year of Yutes??
No one really said what the plan was at the beginning of this experiment if the answer was…..THEY ALL SUCK

Yes but having to exercise it to avoid a situation he's potentially hiding from vs not getting traded at all puts a lot on his reputation and how he'll be treated the rest of his tenure in STL.

how is it staining his reputation by wanting to stay? he negotiated a NTC and has every right to use it

Just when you thought Oli was fast asleep in this managerial battle of wits...

He brilliantly removes Contreras in an obvious "one last HBP" opportunity for the Padres.

That would be stupid you can see the frustration all of him as he struggles and I doubt he wants to tank to stay which would also get more fans against him it makes zero sense. Sometimes a player is just old and age takes it toll

lol beat me to it he read it correctly on here he can’t hit lefties. The occasional hit against them doesn’t mean he’s good against them

If Mo sets up a great deal that would be good for him and the team and he declines it, it won't win him any brownie points with the fans.

I'm not saying he's throwing games but hey, if I were him and a shell of my former self (something I personally knew a lot about from having a hidden infection in my jaw for almost 2 decades) I wouldn't want to go somewhere new, unfamiliar and with sky-high expectations.

Anyways, this whole team's a tragedy not much else to do beyond speculate. lol

Once again the Cards play a team that supposedly is struggling offensively only to take batting practice against the Cards staff. The Cards in the last three games, 5 hits, 3 hits, today 6 hits. Awful team with a bunch of nothing players outside of Donovan, Winn , and Burleson. There's no hope for this crew.

Color me stupid, but if Pages is experiencing cramping and dehydration issues, would it not have been wise just to put Pozo behind the plate after he pinch hit?

I mean, I am no big league manager anything but….
