also, chiefs and their owners are $$ whores, he would sell his daughter for a million bucks. never think the hunts are good peeps, they are scum bags, and he was one who voted to move the rams out of st.louis, remember that

good for Missouri for letting the state of Kansas lose a ton of cash. you dont make money off stadiums, its factually proven, especially nfl stadiums.

3bil, and chiefs get ALL the game day revenues. LOL If i was a Kansas resident, i'd call jungle law to report a #metoo event.
Kansas resident. Not a chief fan. Not a royal fan. But thinking that Kansas taxpayers were the real losers here is kinda foolish. Will you be a loser if the royals stay in misery and the taxpayers face the same consequences? By the way I'm still a Cardinal football fan. My loyalty is to the teams I grew up rooting for. My big fear is the dewitts will last as long as the bidwells. Not enough years left for me to wait them out
LOL...3 billion of your tax payer dollars that can't go to schools, food programs, parks for all, infrastructure etc etc. Yeah, but at least you'll have a pro sports team that'll soak you for more money after the new wears off. Studies have been done to show that pro sports extortion is a negative impact on the community. Just think about that the next time they cut some community service that you or some of the elderly depend on. You're a Cardinals football fan? Good for you. You show more loyalty than Bidwell did to the people of St Louis and the state of Missouri. I'm sure he would return the love, if he even cared who you are.
You keep quoting these studies. I'm from the Show-Me State, so show me! And no, CNN or MSNBC reports won't work.

Numerous studies indicate that stadiums funded by taxpayer money often do not yield significant economic benefits for cities. Research consistently shows that the financial returns from such investments are generally lower than those from alternative projects, leading to a net negative impact on local economies.

You could have easily looked it up yourself, but nevertheless, you asked and I provided. Though you show your bias when you deride CNN and MSNBC. Would Fox New be okay? LOL They only had to pay nearly a billion dollars for lying after all. LOL

News channels should report the news, not air their opinions. Unfortunately we don't have that anymore. No bias here. I just named a couple of channels that always seem to obviously slant their opinions. So any studies from those companies would obviously not be considered valid. I just find it hard to believe that a stadium would have a negative impact on a local community. I don't think there is a clear way to really measure that.

There’s a book. There’s a long history of research into the fact that they don’t. The research can tell you how they measure it. TV stations aren’t commissioning any studies. Don’t know where you’d get that idea.

Well, when considering the benefits you have to figure in the costs also.
1. Less revenue in the state because of the 3 billion dollar outlay.
2. The strain it puts on the infrastructure to accommodate more traffic and parking.
3. More policing because with crowds of people also comes criminals.
4. More strain and upkeep for the electric grid.
5. More water and sewage.
6. The money laid out could be invested more wisely in schools, public transport, local food pantries and elderly help, parks and programs at the parks, arts and music etc etc.
There's no doubt that a sports team draws more tourism and that does help, but it has it's costs also. Now figure in that the owners are going to keep the lions share of the profits and probably come back with their hands out later when upgrades are needed or when they want a new stadium.
