Any interest in moving on from Paredes/Donovan?

I’m interested in a UT player for multiple positions, especially 2B.

btw, that goes for anyone else in the league

Question.....I didn't make a pick on time and it gave me Brandon Woodruff, who is out for the year. I tried to drop him and it said it was a waiver claim and asked me for a FAB offer. What is that? And what is the "budget" for?

Thanks!

Shouldn’t have to claim another player just to drop him. Hit drop without making a claim.

“FAB” = Free Agent Budget

Quincy put a waiver budget in place. I haven’t played with one but basically you can use it to buy guys on waivers. When your money is gone, that’s it.

If you place a claim on a guy for $0, you’ll get him as long as no one actually bid for him. But that $300 is your free agent budget, so you can use it to jump people in waiver priority if there’s a guy out there that you really want.

No. He would get the player provided no other team has a) placed a bid, or b) a higher waiver priority.

I assume that if two teams place the same, highest, FAB bid, the team with the higher waiver priority gets the player? If so, does that team's waiver priority reset to the bottom even though they won the player through their FAB bid?
Yes, and yes.
For example, team with wavier priority 1 claims Player X; team with waiver priority 6 claims Player X and puts in a $1 FAB bid; and team with waiver priority 12 claims Player X and puts in a $1 FAB bid. So I assume the team with waiver priority 6 gets Player X and gets $1 deducted from their FAB account, but do they also drop to waiver 15 in the process because their waiver priority (6) had to be used as the tie breaker with the team with waiver priority 12?
Yes.

That’s assuming there are not other waiver claims processed at the same time. The team with priority #1 could drop to 13 or 14 if there were other teams with processed claims at the same time. What determines their place? I’m not sure… the answer isn’t particularly important.

Do I detect some joy in this post?

Hopefully he’ll be ok. I didn’t say anything but I thought the draft was a tad early. But injuries can happen all year.
Ya, know… it was actually a little earlier than my typical ideal. I wanted to ensure we got in the full 162, so it had to be pre-March 20. Then I moved it up a week so we’d have time to squeeze in a few trades. It would have been a day earlier, but An Old Friend had plans that he thought were more important than all of us - so blame him.

I drafted a team in February for the first and LAST time in 2020. That was a long wait.

Sorry about Cole. It appears Matt has identified you as a threat. In his natural habitat, this is a compliment. There may also be an accompanying “dance”.

So if I drop Woodruff and select another player, I don't have to use my FAB money (unless someone else claims them)? So you can get players for free as still?

Yes you can put in a waiver claim for $0.

As an FYI, I have a claim in for more than zero dollars.

AOF answered this, but you can also simply drop him w/o picking up anyone.
