JJW---He'd be lucky to make the team but who knows if he has a great rest of May & June

Traffic jam at 2nd base w/these candidates:

B. Turang
B. Lowe
X. Edwards
O. Albies
N. Hoerner
Funny ain’t it. You can be a leading candidate for ROY, yet not sniff an AS selection.

Tough position to crack w/some many having strong starts to there seasons but he'll be a multi-time all-star!
Which is interesting because the position stunk the last 2 years.

2026 MLB 2B: .706 OPS (Only 1B, LF, RF, and DH are better)
2025 MLB 2B: .680 OPS (Worst position)
2024 MLB 2B: .684 OPS (Only C was worse with a .678 OPS)
Maybe then it’s just early and some competition may fall out.

And the 2024/2025 "all-star" K. Marte is having a really poor start to the season (.208 .261 .364 .625).

What about the 33 and a third level Scottish Rite Masyn Winn?

Two best RF's in the NL right now are Walker and Wood. Unfortunately, the fan vote for the starter is almost guaranteed to be one of Soto, Tatis Jr., Tucker, or Acuna Jr. Their numbers don't really matter. One will win that popularity contest. Then there will absolutely be a bias for track record (and in Tucker's case, manager loyalty) in selecting the reserves.

They take the Top 3 OF'er as starters regardless of position.

But you're likely right walt (although Tatis doesn't belong among that group).

Let's hope we have some smart fans outside of St. Louis who realize J. Walker, if he keeps this up, is easily among the Top 3.

He certainly deserves to be a starter if he keeps this up. But even making it as a reserve would be so incredible given where expectations were coming into this season.

No doubt, heck I thought he should start the season at Memphis.

HUGE step forward for him to just make the AS team!

You and plenty others. I mean, he had a god awful spring so it wasn't an unwarranted thought.

Walker could/should, but JJ isn't in the cards for this year.

How about?? Just be dazzled and appreciative of both players success to date. The award will, if ever, come later. Enjoy the moment for them.
