Pages leads MLB in Stolen Bases Allowed

I see Pages as a “placeholder” at the position until they sort through the emerging prospects.
They don’t want Herrera as the primary Catcher as an attempt to keep him healthy because of his bat.
That I agree with!
Crooks figures to be promoted first followed at some point by Bernal & Rodriquez.
Pages long term is a backup and would be ok in that role.

Trouble is we arent doing any sorting. We know pages isn’t the future yet Only Hererra is getting alternate PT.

RRod is already in AA and there are at least 2-3 other higher ceiling (than Pages) options older and well ahead of him yet even in a reset year we need a “placeholder” who isn’t good at anything to begin with. Doesn’t make sense.

Young catchers have learned on the job before. They don’t have to hit .300 right away. Pudge. Yadi. Many others were a lot younger than crooks and Bernal when they got their shots.

Works for me when they bring up Crooks.
Might be worried about his high K rate???
