Hard to say on Leahy. Dobbins is far from Leahy’s status. So Leahy stays. Maybe Dovbins to the pen.

It could could certainly progress that way.

At his stage of duration, 50 pitches, he seems like a great piggy back candidate.

Pen innings- 142.
Innings scored- 44
Runs-88
Multi run- 24 innings
Single run -20 innings

My take. We get scored upon once every 3.2 innings of relief. That’s once per game, twice per game once every four ish games.

And when we give up a scoring inning, it’s fifty percent that it will be a multi run inning.

The other night on Dodgers feed they said the pen for STL has allowed 40 percent of inherited runners to score.
That’s insane.

Bringing these bums in the game is much more effective than letting the SP eat…..this is the way of baseball today….you just don’t understand

A starter that has 5 innings and 70+ pitches under his belt - AND - who has been effective during his stint, should be allowed and encouraged to go as deep as he can. Else you're facing 4 relievers, with at least ONE is likely to blow the game up. That's the story, game after game, not just for the Cardinals, but most team that follows that bush-wah.

Correct. Four innings of relief. We average one scoring inning per game, and it’s at two runs. Maybe a starter for another inning would alleviate that.
