passthebuck wrote: 01 Mar 2026 12:21 pm I can't put mlb app on either of my tvs, and as of right now amazon prime doesn't have it,so unless one of my services decides to carry Cardinal tv, it is going to be a double paywall for me to view. (Mlb tv and Cardinals tv). I haven't even been able to watch just 1 of the "free" spring training games anywhere. I've tried pretty hard, and while I'm not the most tech savy, I can only guess how much worse it is for those even older than me. It just isn't worth the hassle.

These people are leaving so much on the table. Alienating their fans.
I watched MLB TV the last few years on my tvs using Roku.

If this doesn’t feel like a Stan Kroenke Walmart Cart up the (bleep)…..I’m not sure how much more you need to see
Extended a consensus poor manager
3/1 and no communication concerning a reliable broadcast channel to view the St. Louis Cardinals
Is this the strategy to force fans back into Busch???….

The good news. We have wbc starting tomorrow. Then starting Thursday the games start getting televised almost daily.

I use MLBTV and live out of market so blackouts aren’t typically a concern. There just aren’t many ST games being covered right now.

This will change during the regular season and your Cards TV should work fine with the exception of proprietary broadcasts. ESPN, AppleTV etc.

In those cases, I avoid CT and sports news, and watch the games approximately 90 minutes after completion with spoilers set to off. I’d guess CardsTV has a similar option.

I’ve been disappointed with less spring games being available, but I’ll forgive them if the $99 gets me all the games with no blackouts as advertised.

Are there fewer games available? Last year, Fan Duel Sports carried 12 spring games total, and as of March 2, had only aired one. This year, Cardinals.TV will be carrying 16 games total and as of today have aired three.

Starting Saturday a lot of games will be on Matrix locally. You will have to hook up an antenna unless you have Spectrum/Charter but that is pretty easy to do. It matters where you put it so I would experiment in advance for that channel. If you have a south facing window that is typically best in most parts of the city and county.

Yeah, I also have an ota antenna, but living where I do reception is still spotty. I can only get 2 on clear days, cannot get 4 cbs or matrix. 24 Metv comes in great though.

My only hope is they follow through and make some stand alone deals with carriers. If they just go with all the big ones that carry.live channels, then this was no better than cable.

I even tried to download the mlb tv app on my android, but it has been un available for the past three weeks. probably by design. I've tried every avenue I can think of short of buying a new service or equipment just to even get access.

Oh wow, interesting. I didn’t look up the numbers, it just seemed that way. Obv I was wrong… facts over feelings.
