I may be going out on a limb here….but this could be the best AAA team in MLB

I mentioned the question about the catching a few weeks ago and the consensus was it wouldn't be a problem going forward.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 15:27 pm The org seems to like Pozo a lot. I don't dislike him, but if you keep him and not Crooks, what do you do with Bernal? Make him repeat AA while Crooks repeats AAA? Maybe I assumed too much, but I thought this was the kind of positional logjam the Cardinals were working out of.
If Crooks goes to Memphis, then I would bet Bernal would stay in Springfield, at least for a while.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 20:16 pmI guess they could, but I don't see it either.Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 20:08 pmI don't see the Cardinals having 2 high priority prospects in AAA together.renostl wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 20:00 pmIf everyone is kept yeah.Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 18:10 pmSo you think Crooks and Bernal will both be in Memphis?renostl wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 16:33 pmMany variables in this decision.ramfandan wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 15:48 pmWould think Bloom may be following the injury list (especially playoff contenders ) where a team needs a catcher and they call the Cardinals knowing the St. Louis depth.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 15:27 pm The org seems to like Pozo a lot. He can trade one of the guys then.
PS I never 'hope' any player on any team gets injured and Bloom doesn't either but injuries do happen and tough position to find a good catcher.
One affects 2026 the other beyond 2026.
None of these guys seem like a majority catcher for beyond 2026 but they still need
to play 2026.
If the injury influence happens I'd put Pages up for sale in 2026 and go Pozo/Crooks/Herrera.
I don't expect that. I think Crooks gets sent down for a playing time move with Bernal to Memphis.
Pages won't go, Crooks bat hasn't shown up and there's little upside to
him sitting 2/3's of the time, easily wrong.
You guys are probably right if Crooks isn't onCardinals4Life wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 22:58 pmIf Crooks goes to Memphis, then I would bet Bernal would stay in Springfield, at least for a while.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 20:16 pmI guess they could, but I don't see it either.Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 20:08 pmI don't see the Cardinals having 2 high priority prospects in AAA together.renostl wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 20:00 pmIf everyone is kept yeah.Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 18:10 pmSo you think Crooks and Bernal will both be in Memphis?renostl wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 16:33 pmMany variables in this decision.ramfandan wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 15:48 pmWould think Bloom may be following the injury list (especially playoff contenders ) where a team needs a catcher and they call the Cardinals knowing the St. Louis depth.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 15:27 pm The org seems to like Pozo a lot. That might not be the worst thing, as Doyle and Cjinte should be in Springfield early!
Me too.renostl wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 23:16 pmYou guys are probably right if Crooks isn't onCardinals4Life wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 22:58 pmIf Crooks goes to Memphis, then I would bet Bernal would stay in Springfield, at least for a while.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 20:16 pmI guess they could, but I don't see it either.Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 20:08 pmI don't see the Cardinals having 2 high priority prospects in AAA together.renostl wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 20:00 pmIf everyone is kept yeah.Cardinals4Life wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 18:10 pmSo you think Crooks and Bernal will both be in Memphis?renostl wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 16:33 pmMany variables in this decision.ramfandan wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 15:48 pmWould think Bloom may be following the injury list (especially playoff contenders ) where a team needs a catcher and they call the Cardinals knowing the St. Louis depth.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 15:27 pm The org seems to like Pozo a lot. the roster.
Hope he wins a spot
I'd like to see Pages dealt before the end of STing......Crooks (100 games)/Pozo (62 games) here.....Bernal at AAA.....R.R. at AA.Talkin' Baseball wrote: ↑26 Feb 2026 15:27 pm The org seems to like Pozo a lot.
