It would be silly if Molina has to wait one year because they only induct one a year, and then he potentially gets voted in first ballot to the actual hall of fame...just auto them both in. If you had a list of top ten Cards of all time, they both would be on the list.
Molina is not in the top ten Cards of all time.
He's closer to 20 than 10.
Albert Pujols is so much more deserving than molina…
For Puhols to have to share the day with another does not recognize his singular greatness…
Yes, Albert Pujols had a greater career than Molina. Pujols had the greatest 12 years of any St. Louis Cardinal except Musial, Gibson, and Hornsby. He is also a class act who have no doubt would be proud to have the greatest defensive catcher in Cardinal history share his day.
Molina spent his entire 19 year career with St. Louis, earned 4 platinum gloves and 9 gold gloves, 8 consecutive. He led the NL in assists by a catcher 3 times, and led the NL in caught stealing % 4 times. He is #4 in games caught in MLB. In 2018, he won the Roberto Clemente Award for his work on and off the field.
You have expressed your disdain for the man often on this forum. You claim that you are not a fan of any player on any team, and yet you constantly display your dislike for Yadier Molina. If you are not emotionally involved in a positive way for any player or team, why would you be so negatively obsessed with Molina?

I don't need red glasses to recognize that he was the best defensive catcher in Cardinal history, and deserves to be in the Cardinal HOF, as well as the MLB HOF eventually. The things you brought up about him are mostly speculation or much ado about nothing.

Better player? Of course.
More deserving? Let's not forget the 10 year hiatus ole Albert took from STL.
Molina was a career Cardinal.
Both will be inducted together.
Both will have statues out in front of Busch...as they should.

Wow, this is far from reality. Molina was routinely noted for the great physical shape he was in at camp. He was in such great shape that he caught nearly every ballgame every season. Might have something to dp with your assessment of his hustle.
There were reports that he was snubbing young players, and not helping the young catchers..
Nope. Molina was a great leader and mentor. This is why he is likely to be the next Cards manager.
He abandoned the team in mid season to spend time in Puerto Rico with his basketball team…
He didn't abandon anything. You think he just went MIA without prior discussions/approval from mangemnet. C'mon, guy!
I think it was last year…maybe earlier…he was named an adviser/conultant……and was seldom with the club…if at all
Most advisory roles aren'tfront and center. Also a great way to keep a legend and your future manager "tied" to the organization.
And this year, he is the so called special advisor to bloom….yet, he’s not with the club because he’s hanging with his Puerto Rican friends
You obviously haven'tbeen paying attention. Molina has been in camp working with the C's and has been in the dugout. In fact, great photo the other day of him in the dugout next to Marmol. It was clear who carried the clout!

All I can say is "buckle up, 45"! Yadi is not only "around", but he will soon be "around" a lot more and will be on display for your enjoyment when the next wave of Cardinals shove playoff baseball down your Trashtro throat!

OK, let's count. A top 10 might be:
Molina
Hornsby
Dean
Musial
Gibson
Brock
Boyer
Simmons
Ozzie
Pujols
Chris Carpenter
Wainwright
This is actually 12, which does not include, Medwick, Bottomley, Frisch, Mize, Schoendienst, Slaughter, Flood, Edmonds, Rolen, and others.
To cut this list from 12 to 10, I would not eliminate Molina. So I do believe he is in the Cardinals top 10 of all time.
