That was what the announcer said as well. Took a funny bounce but had it been ruled a foul ball, the game wouldn't have ended on that pitch.

And if he hit a home run, the game would have ended on that pitch. Don’t know what you were watching or are trying to say.hugeCardfan wrote: ↑24 Feb 2026 00:01 amThat was what the announcer said as well. Listen to MLB Network in my Sirius car radio daily
Not trying to say anything other than nobody contested the umpire's call that it was a passed ball. Not the catcher. Not the manager. No one. It was a passed ball.Cardinals1964 wrote: ↑24 Feb 2026 01:29 amAnd if he hit a home run, the game would have ended on that pitch. It is spring training and their record means little. But the individual stats that each player accrues does mean something. If they don't do well they may not be on the team when the season starts.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 21:35 pmWhats even more hilarious is if they hit three home runs tomorrow you will say its spring training and means nothing lol and i have a feeling you will be the same way all season any success the have you will dismiss it any failure you will jump all over it so you can continue to whine and complain they lost the first game oh you were all of that saying they only scored two runs and blah blah no offense they score 6 runs then 5 runs in the next two and you say its impossible for them sustain that lol so you whine if they score 2 dismiss it if it they score 6 just what exactly is the magic score they should be scoring lol oh but unless they score the runs with home runs that doesn’t count either. So to you cardinals losses in spring training matter if they don’t score many runs it matters but cardinals wins don’t matter and scoring too many runs doesn’t matter and no runs matter unless they are scored by home runs lol so just admit it anything positive that happens for the Cardinals you will dismiss it but anything negative you will latch onto like a dog on a bone You’re funny and somehow claim to be a cardinals fanCCard wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 20:46 pmOh Ozzie...this is entirely sustainable. They're going to challenge for a playoff spot by being outhit and hitting no homeruns. When you're right ...Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 17:29 pm Remember in spring training wins dont count only losses especially if they dont win the”right way” by hitting home runs because you cant win games in the regular season unless you hit homeruns![]()

Hey! Fred bird is one of the best Mascot’s in all of baseball!Cardinals1964 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 17:34 pmIncredible ain’t it? If Cardinals hit 3 HRs in the game, people would cry they ain’t playing small ball. They can’t manufacture runs. Ollie sucks. Dewitt is a bad owner. Fredbird is a lousy mascot.Ozziesfan41 wrote: ↑23 Feb 2026 17:29 pm Remember in spring training wins dont count only losses especially if they dont win the”right way” by hitting home runs because you cant win games in the regular season unless you hit homeruns
Can we count that toward our 71 total?
