Saggese at 2nd and Wetherholt at 3rd could be a good thing.
Respectfully don't wish JJ at 3rd ... feel one of theprime reasons Bloom traded Donovan is that he felt JJ was the 2nd baseman of the future for the Cardinals . He wanted JJ there and Bloom in next year or so in rebuild will look for the traditional power type (most likely right handed kid) to be the 3rd baseman.
That guy may be drafted this year as one of the multiple top picks the team has.

No need to worry rfdan.
JJW is going to be at 2nd base w/no time at 3rd except in an emergency.
If/When Norman gets bumped off 3rd it likely will be by Urias/Saggese platoon.

The lineup doesn’t mean they aren’t on another field playing.
Raniel Rodriguez wasn’t even a NRI and he got called over to play yesterday.

Did anyone else notice ?
This is two games now that JJ has drawn a walk where he came around to score a run .
First game , he got to 3rd after a walk on Fermin's double .. JJ scored on wildpitch
Today, a walk , steals 2nd ,moved to 3rd on heads up play on an errant throw to 1st base.. Then scores on catcher sailing a throw down into CF .
Those two walks are as good as 2 singles. JJ is showing what the scouts always said about him . He is very selective on pitches .. Rarely swinging (chasing pitches out of the strike zone) . The way he 'takes' those pitches just missing reminds me so much of Juan Soto in that regard. He does the same thing and one of the best guys drawing walks .
Brad was 'spot on' when he said a lot of young guys are eager to impress by 'hitting' their way on chasing bad pitches .
You can see already that JJ will not do that. That is good to see and what makes him out of the ordinary for most rookies.

JJ has a good batting eye and so he needs to bat near the top of the lineup. His OBP should be very high.
