Sure, his stink is still all over this team but Bloom is doing his best to wash that out. I think a lot of people have PTSD from Mos reign of terror whether they know it or not.

I will continue to attend games, just as I’ll always support the Cardinals! That doesn’t mean I agree with everything that the Dewitts are doing, quite the contrary! I’d love to be there opening day, just so they’d know my disdain for how they’ve let things get, but I’ll still be in Florida. Hopefully I’ll see them in Jupiter before they go North! lol!

Im no fan of the Dewitts but to their credit they have finally acknowledged that things need to change even if they are a few years too late. And even though this team is going to lose a lot of games on the field the next couple of years I think am actually more excited about the Cardinals now than I have been in the last 10 years.

We'll never know the answer, but I really want to know what finally was the tipping point of allowing Mozeliak to run this thing into the ground and all the penny-pinching, to getting them to agree to eat a SUBSTANTIAL amount of salary in trading Gray, Contreras, and Arenado. What did Bloom do on that front that Mozeliak didn't? Or how did Bloom talk them into it?

I'm sure attendance last year was part of it but I too would love to know how exactly Bloom got them to see the light.

Maaaan even with Moe gone, you just always think...just maybe
Right. Like I didn't really think Bloom would do that BUT one could make the case we are short on vet experience and Mik did eat innings (terribly). It just didn't feel like a complete leap that they would send a very cheap one year offer his way. Glad we are in the clear.

Ha!
Funny! BUT, if he gets a start vs the Cardinals, he might just toss a 3 hit shutout!.......for 6 innings anyway.

Obviously (to use a Mozeliak phrase) Bloom convinced Jr. that the only way back to relevance and 3 million fans was to tear the whole thing down.

Mozeliak didn’t really pinch pennies, he just spent stupidly.

I'd say Cards will continue to suffer from MO idiocies.
true, MO can't hurt us anymore with anything NEW
+1...we will continue to witness Mo-ran's legacy throughout 2026 with the dwindling attendance...maybe he'll bring his beautiful family to some games.
I don’t think attendance is going to crash like some on here do. I think educated fans will see that Bloom is building something worthwhile and will support it.
I will go to more games than I did the past couple of the years. I will always go to games but have been reducing them the past few years because I was frustrated the cardinals didn’t have a real direction other than hoping to sustain mediocrity. I’ve always said I can get behind going all in to try to win and I can get behind a tear down and rebuild but I can’t behind no direction other than sustain mediocrity
Agreed!

I usually go to about 5 games / year - I will start attending again when the tank job is done!
