Wouldn’t it be dishonest to label Gorman a designated hitter?
You mean the guy with this line?
.205/.296/.370./.666 88

Who leads off?
And so on.
Too soon to say.
STL is required by the rules to have a LF and a DH in the lineup - and it is possible neither one is on the roster.

Depends on who’s pitching and who makes the team.

Fermin? He’s barely going to make the team. AAAA player at best

He's not good but he's at least a better hitter than Saggese.
We all know Sagesse had a good year like 2-3 years ago - so did Gorman once.

That number is Satanic. In more ways than one.

What's the over/under on runs scored by this vaunted group this season?

I believe Fermin is the better player over your Saggese. I may be wrong. But I doubt it.

Saggese followed up his stellar AA performance with a 20 homer season his first year in AAA. Before his call up last season, he was hitting .317 at Memphis! So, just keep pouring out your negativity, without really knowing what you’re talking about!
That said Fermin deserves a chance too. As does Torres.

The trouble with Torres, Church, and Scott is their complete absence of power.
Fermin, Bernal and Prieto haven't exactly slugged either.
The trouble with Walker, Gorman, and Burleson is their lack of defensive ability.

1B Burly
C Herrera
LF Noot when he returns
DH Gorman
RF Walker
3B Saggese
CF Scott
INF Fermin
OF Church
INF/OF RH FA acquisition (maybe Joedan though they’d have to get him on the 40 man)
C Pozo/Crooks/Pages

Better hitter? No shot.
More power? Yeah. But not a better hitter. Not even close.

Is noot for sure not going to be ready by opening day?
SS Winn
2B Wetherholt
DH Herrera
1B Burleson
LF FA addition
3B Gorman
RF Walker
C Pages/Crooks
CF Scott
I mentioned Winn at SS. Whats your take there.
