Preparing to go from "Bloom overestimated the market and now won't be able to pull of a trade" to "Bloom is not good because he should have gotten more" here once we get the return.

To Seattle: Brendan Donovan
To Tampa: JoJo Romero + Cash from Seattle
To Dewitt: Middling prospects plus a Miami home to be named later

if we get Brendan Summerhill in return from the Rays....I might flip...not sure if it's in a good way.
"Say no to Arizona Wildcat Baseball!!!!"
but he can hit and field....no power, which is odd for that frame.
Still...he's a WildCat...they're bleh....Chase Davis

one correction: the cash to Tampa will be from the Cardinals

Who is he? Rays top prospect is a 22 yo Carson Williams way down at #63. 60 Power, 70 field grade, but only 35 hit tool? Also yet Another SS.

Bracing myself for disappointment. I was not for moving him unless it's for a haul. Anything less and you should just keep him.

3 way trade means SOMEONE must be getting a haul. Not sure who wins this.

Trying to listen to sports talk radio for the first time in a long time to try and hear what the live reaction is to all this, and my God, sportsTalk radio is awful. Do any of these guys have any idea what they're talking about? It's an old, outdated format and I know why I haven't listened regularly to it in like 15 years.

Whatever it is I'm sure Nightingale will give the Cardinals an "F" grade.

you don't want Carson Williams....I've seen him play too much....he's a horrible.
Summerhill was mocking Late Top 10 in last years draft....dropped to Comp A round after first round. A lot of players dropped in last years draft b/c of the run on HS SS...historic run on HS SS.
Good hitting OF, good glove....no power....and from the wrong school. I have Chase Davis fatigue

But can you get a haul for a Donovan type player?

Hope not then. We have too many without power already. You can't teach Nick Kurtz level thump.

Well no, I meant it in relative terms. There's just no reason to move him short of getting something that will greatly advance the rebuild.
The contract isn't a problem (yet!) and he's not blocking anyone from playing time.

at this point....getting RH Bats and RH starting pitching....that's what can help.
Anymore catchers and LHP is beyond dumb, imo....maybe we can take 1 more catcher, if he's RH
